WTB. Gen 1 coolant crossover tube and valve covers.

Just shoot me the best price on the coolant tube. The valve covers can wait, but I desperately need that tube.

WTB. Gen 1 coolant crossover tube and valve covers.

How much do you want for em? I am mainly after the crossover tube.

WTB. Gen 1 coolant crossover tube and valve covers.

I need the coolant crossover tube that has two temperature sensor mounts. Mine is the 97 and I only have one sensor hole and I am sick of using a scan tool to watch my temps. Also, i am looking for Gen 1 valve covers.

I almost cried today. I hate Air Check.

Good that the parts go to someone that will use em, but damn. The mustang is not that big a deal, just had the rare black cloth interior. The supercoupe and the Mark VIII though, they are getting harder and harder to find in good shape. I don't care about the trucks and other crappy cars...

I almost cried today. I hate Air Check.

Texas Air check.... Where you traded in your old car and got a voucher toward a new one. The only thing they do is run a salt solution through the engine to kill it, then it goes to the junkyard where you can buy anything else off from it. Transmission, body panels, interior, even stuff like the...

I almost cried today. I hate Air Check.

Went to the pick U pull looking for parts for a 99 Camaro and I almost cried. Someone air checked a pristine 98 LSC. Black on black, PERFECT interior and exterior, couldn't have had any more than 70,000 miles on it. The type that you could have gotten 7 grand for easily. Also saw a Thunderbird...

2 Door luxury car like Mark VIIIs??

The 94-01 Eldorado is nice, but beware of the head gasket failure. Once that is fixed, they run forever. Grand Prix GTP's are nice, as are Riviera's. C5 vette has a decent interior and can be had fairly cheap these days. you MIGHT be able to find an RX8 for that price.

Ok, I have seen it all now.

I see stuff like this more and more. People with wrecked cars, cars with no title, cars with bad motors and are 15-20 years old and they want $1000 or more for them. Sorry, just because it's a Honda doesn't mean that your 92 Civic with a bad motor and 196K miles is worth $1500.

    Can anyone identify this knock?

Just confirmed that it's in the clutch. Put it in 4th, let the clutch out 3/4 of the way and the knocking stops completely. Looks like I have the uber fun task of pulling the damned tranny back out and finding out what this is.

    Can anyone identify this knock?

Oh if it's in the clutch, I am ignoring it. I don't care how annoying it is, it's a pain to get that tranny out with the 4V in. It's a 10.5" clutch, the King Cobra is a souped up OEM clutch essentially.

    Ford Racing King Cobra.

    Can anyone identify this knock?

I pulled the inspection plate by the cable on my T-45 and nothing is hitting, that was one of the first things that I did. It is possible that I am missing something though.

    Who's interested in pretty gauges?

Those types of bezels are really nice. I have a set on my Mustang and it did wonders for the look of the dash.

    Can anyone identify this knock?

Just checked under it. I can hear it on the bellhousing of the tranny. Yeah and here is another video, back when I thought it was a loose catalytic converter. YouTube- Mystery knock of a ford 4.6L Oh and in case anyone is interested, this is and acceleration video of it. YouTube-...

    Can anyone identify this knock?

Well, that is definitely something that I will look in to. Thanks for the heads up.

    Can anyone identify this knock?

Nope, I didn't pull the caps since I would have had to changed out the bolts, damn stretch bolts are expensive. It's just a trick that can help find it. If the cylinder isn't firing, then there is less pressure and thus less knocking on the cylinder. Got a 2000 Chevy Metro sitting in my...

    Can anyone identify this knock?

That 10 minute knock is likely piston slap. Pretty well documented on the 2V engines. Yeah that is rare for it to bend, every one that I have seen just crumbles. My oil pressure hovers around 60PSI. Like I said, I pulled the pan and checked the rods, everything was fine. I can tell you what...

    Can anyone identify this knock?

No, I got it out of a pick U pull. The car was wrecked, so I know it was running. This has been like this since last year, it hasn't gotten better or worse. I doubt that very seriously, these rods don't bend, they disintegrate since they are pressed rods. On top of that, there is 0 knocking...

    Can anyone identify this knock?

It's a 5 speed and yeah, the bolts that hold the flywheel on are fine.
