yes i did remove it and i pushed it back in with a saftey pin and put it back in with the hole on the plate matching the hole on the tensioner so oil can run through. is that the correct way?

good news..I took apart the motor on the fan assembly and everything seemed ok. the only difference i made was dip all the parts inside with hydaulic fluids and and put it back together and it worked. I thought it would get lubed up by itself when the fluids hit it but i was wrong!:eek: any ways...

:confused: hi ive tried the to vaccum up the resouvior container and i have a good idea i did it correctly because the fluids rose to the top...but it still does not turn on and whines when i rev up the engine..any other ideas...i put in a new pump by the way...Thanks everyone....

also to let you guys know I have already bled the coolant.. i just cant figure out how to bleed the hydraulic pump....:confused:

Hi everyone. I have a 2001 Lincoln LS V8. I just did the valve cover gaskets and 2 weeks later my secondary timing chain tensioner went out :(. I got that fixed but now when I went to put it back together I can not get the fan to work. Is it suppose to turn on (Low) when the car gets turned on...
