Not judging the car....still LOVE it. At this time, just need something more dependable for her. At a later date may buy another because I know I will miss blasting her down the back roads.
As a side note...first person who came to check her out bought her.:)
Been wrenching on my 00 V8 for almost 2 years now. Work out one issue...wife drives it for a few days..another one pops up. Now it has started the intermittent overheating thing. I have thrown time and $$$ at this beast long enough. It is a love/hate relationship that no counselor would take on...
For as much as I hate to do it…it is time to let the girl go. My wife needs a more dependable car to get around in and long trips are in her future. It is a 2000 V-8 with 134+k and she is in good shape. I have been wrenching on her on and off for 2 years. I get one issue ironed out and another...
I am putting on an aftermarket air intake system real soon and was wondering if anyone needed the stock system for their car? I have a 2000 V8 and would be willing to send it to the person for just what it costs to ship it. I have cut the bottom of the airbox some for better airflow. Send me a...
Got pissed and "tapped" the buttons....tabs now broke! Just hooked up button assy and tapped the reset about 40 times and FINALLY got the thing to reset. Now to rebuild the tabs!
Same thing here with Courtesy Ford...now Hall Ford. Me and an alum ballbat got things real strait! Have I told everyone I don't take BS very well and have no patience for lunacy?
Thank you very much for the info. All the parts are not there so I am looking at epoxying two pieces of plastic to it and redrilling/tapping them. Will look for the fixes on here too!
OH :q those are beautiful wheels! Nice choice! Mind if I ask how much they were? I am looking at getting new ones and saw a set I liked made by VLine....
Thanks Kumba! I changed out all the plugs/cops when I first bought her. Runs MUCH better. The info on the a/c system is a big help. Will get a gage set and check on the pressure next payday. I saw the brake set up you did  Impressive. May just do the steel lines and a standard...
:slam I tried "tapping" the button.....so hard I broke the tabs off the back and now have to rebuild them to hold the buttons in! I have to remember to treat her more like a fragile lady!:D
Thanks for the info Joe...the O meter is working fine so I may just check the elec connections and see...
That is the problem...I can't reset it from the buttons. The oil reset doesn't work...it just jumps right to the air filter when I hit reset. And the shop manual said if the oil reset doesn't work check the ABS! Now I don't have a clue as to what the ABS would have to do with oil...
I had posted here before about not being able to reset the oil change to 100% on the msg center. Was reading up in the shop manual and it said one of the areas to look at would be the ABS mod!? Ok either I have no idea what an ABS is (Antilock Braking System) or the accronym is WAY different on...
I am on my second leg of fixing my 2000 LS V8. I am making a list and could use some info on parts and if I am looking in right direction for the fix.
