I've checked both of my shop manuals.without any luck on fixing c.c...I've checked all fuses in engine bay and inside car that are above a 15 rating with none being out as far as I can tell. My car sat for 3.5 months while I was in hospital. Got home battery was dead and wouldn't recharge/hold...
That was a beautiful car man... really like the rims and center caps.
What model size etc rims were those?

I said nothing about kicking your ass, I said act like a man... if you can.. but sure if you're in Renton and or Bellevue I'll be more than happy to meet you at each place. We'll see what happens and let it speak for itself. I'm not the "online tough guy" who picks fights for no good reason...
Uh ya I'm 12.. 22 posts in 4 years because the good majority of the time I can get the info from one of the manuals or find it online. ANd such a "noob" as you useless jerks put it that I bought this car 8 years ago and rebuilt a ton of this car other then ther tranny myself. Posted this because...
Hey folks, I have a '95 MK8 w/ about 136000 miles on it and recently got a couple of codes. P0538- A/C Evaporator Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input and P0412- Secondary AIr Injection Solenoid Circuit Malfuntion that intermittently came on at the same time. About 2-3 months ago I took into...
OK after many attempts and trials it comes out to being a broken valve spring on the #2 cylinder. I had no idea that the heat from the engine and cold outside would do that (valve work vs not working) until I took a look at the broken spring. Case closed painfully but fixed.:Bang :Beer
One last issue could be a bad batch of gas. It didn't start until after the 4th or 5th day which is the day after I filled up the tank. 1 week later I was there again (as it still ran bad) and all the 92 octane was covered up with bags. AT $3.15 a gallon I doubt it was flying out of there. The...
They are Autolite Iridium Extreme Perfomance XP 104 I bought at NAPA Auto Parts here in The Seattle, WA area from the guys and gal we have worked with there for over 12 years. Thats what they have listed as stock when I was at Ford and NAPA. As you all know, this sweet ride costs you to...
OK so I have the plugs out now, etc....they are all coated in a somewhat hard black substance (carbon?) that you can scrape off w/ your thumb. Its equal on all plugs. Only things that have changed again, are plug wires and plugs.
Good to know for the future..I did use a coin style to gauge it but only slid it in a bit then gently lifted up not using the plug for leverage so I wouldn't possably bend or dammage the point. Most of them didn't need any adjusting and the 2 or 3 that did was very very minor (.001-.0025) or...
Plugs are brand new as well and were set at .048 when i checked them all which was a recomended gapping. The plugs themselves are the so called listed stock "iridium/platinum High perfomance" plugs from NAPA Auto Parts and better work dang good at $7+ a piece. But I am about to pull it all apart...
ya I am, I used both the chilton and actual 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII manual to triple check everything before putting it all back together, what gets me is that its basically only the first 15 min or the engine running that its shaking so bad but unless I can figure out it being something else...
OK this MAY BE a little off topic but I did use the wires and did a tune up and it ran great and suprised there was a difference a higher RPMs with these wires. Heres my "OFF" topic question. Now my MK8 runs really rough after a few days with these when you first start up/drive 15 min. Shakes...
I have my original coils and they ALL work fine, don't know and don't care at the moment that there is something better. Lifetime warranty is all I care about really, plus the cool little blue capictors LMFAO. There's always going to be room for improvement as your Momma might say and I will...
Whats the price range on the Ford Racing 9mm and Lightning Plugs?
(may also need number)
Gman~ Is there noticable difference in merformance, gas mileage, etc at all?
(they worth $215) becuase I am working on saving up to get new struts and shocks as well on top of the $650 on trans I just...
Well I am do for a new set of plug wires ( I think they may be the orignal at 129000 miles (All Black) but don't know for sure since I bought it at auction and rebuilt my Mk8 in '01)
In any case its time, I have been looking at the Nology wires at LMS for my rig. Anyone tried, used...
I am not totally sure about the Gen II's but am pretty dang sure they are 5X7/6X8 like the Gen 1's which are the same overall size, one just has a little more woofer area. Personally I would go with a set that has multi directional tweeters and sounds warm with good human voice "punch" through...
