Thanks for all the help with my overheating issue! Now onto my mileage. I have a slight miss at idle (most likely plugs and coils). Could this be causing my mileage issue? When filling my tank the range gauge said 201, I was able to get 141 actual miles. I put 8.41 gallons which equals 16.7...

I didn't mean to cause a ruckus. I replaces all the plastics parts and now it isn't overheating. I'm guessing one part failed and they took the thermostat out as an attempt to cover it up. Either way, it was overheating now its not!

Likewise. Anything I put lock washers on never seems to loosen up. On a more positive note 2 days in over 90 degree weather with the AC on and my temps are consistent and stable. No dropping of the degas bottle level either. I think we can call this one a victory!

Ok did some reading and found out how to do it. Second question, I am going to head to the junk yard to get a valve cover. The bolts on the side closest to the fender seem almost impossible to get to. Whats the trick with those?

How in gods name to hook remove and reinstall this lower coolant recovery tank hose. I for the life of me cant get to it.

Well all the plastic parts are being replaced. No other weird issues other than those listed. I have heard of cars with pressurized systems overheating with out a thermo.

I was able to dig into the cooling system today. Upon dis-assembly . I found a chunk missing out of the valve cover on the drivers side. The missing chunk looks to be the connection for the pcv tube. I think this explain my rough idle. Its been sucking air this entire time. I found a bolt...

You were right. Got hot again today! Luckily I got the heater on before it overheated.

Yep! I followed the procedure listed in the tech articles.

Yep!!! Funny enough after my final attempt to bleed it, it now isn't overheating.. at least not right now. Still no coolant comes out of the bleed hose. Not one drop. Even if I unscrew it have running it up and down the street until its over 200 degrees.

I ordered everything listed in the link besides the houses. They look new.
