    re-installing degas bottle

    I needed to fix a crack on my degas bottle (2003 LS V8) and now Im not able to reinstall the bottom hose of the tank. Its not long enough to reach and put the clamp on it. Any ideas on how to install this? Thanks!

    The pre-cats? I thought there were only two primary cats that bolt right up to the manifold and housed the o2 sensors...one on top and one on the bottom. I definatly removed all of the debris when I hollowed them out, so there's no obstruction there.

    Your diagnosis is correct. I removed the upstream o2's and wa-la! POWER! And lots of exhaust noise LOL. Need new cats.

    Can u test coils to see which one is bad?

    Thats what I did and got a reading of 5.5 ohms on five of the coils and 6.4 ohms on the other three of them. That has lead me to believe that those three with the higher reading must be the bad coils. Do you think that is accurate?

    by the way, I was doing the testing with a standard multi-meter set on ohms/resistance. I really hope this is a good way to test these coils because I can't spend the money to pay the dealership to do it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
