13's please

I've used the Tazzo VPC and could give a hoot about the Gtech accuracy argument, but what inquiring minds want to know is how you get a 1/8 mph of 82+ with an 1/8 ET of almost 9.3 and a 60 foot of 2.44? Then on top of that a trap speed of almost 105 mph with a 13.99?

I have a fist full of timeslips that show 9.2-9.3 in the 1/8 with mph range of 76-77. Conversely my best in the 1/8 of 8.879 has only a mph of 79.54.

Further, if I take an average of 10 timeslips for a 13.99 ET, the corresponding average trap speed is 97.4? You have 104.8? Over 7 mph difference?
It's called TRACTION LOSS understand now???? I was back peddling the throttle the first eighth mile.

And who asked you about your over priced Tazzo? not me...a 200.00 gtech is just as accurate, you should have been able to tell that a car is having traction problems when the numbers come up like that.:slap:

Your traction wasn't the best but wasn't that crucial on your run, JC. Last time at the track my 1st run, my rear end was wheel hoppin real bad and I got a 2.5 60 foot time. The 1/8th mile was 9.4 at 79.4mph, ended up running a 14.3 at 100.3mph. You could spin 3/4th down the track and never see 100mph much less 104.8mph. The only way you can trap 104 is if you made over 300hp at the wheels in a 4000lb raceweight? BTW, I watched the video you posted a while back and there is no way the same car in the video is trapping 104-105. Do you have any idea how fast 104-105 mph is with a 4000lb raceweight NA? That's enough power to run low 13's with traction. My friend had a 97 Cobra with full exhaust, 4.10 gears, steeda pullies, densecharger, and meaty 275's on the back and his best MPH was 103.7mph ever. And that was with 2.0 60 foot times.

No it isn't.

My '87, on street tires, has gone 13.91 @ 101.52, on a 2.1 60'. With slightly stickier tires, the car has gone 13.57 @ 102.01, on a 2.00 60'. The highest MPH was a 102.35 on stickier tires. Tell me how BETTER traction equated to a higher MPH

But what do I know, I only have 96 runs at the track in that car :shifty:

BTW...here's my timeslip from last night..

For your information, I probably paid less for my overpriced Tazzo than your cheap-ass Gtech you were bragging so much about. Besides that, I've seen traction problems, that still doesn't explain the magnitude of discrepancy between the ET and the trap speed for a typical Mark VIII. You'd have to be spinning at over the 1000 foot mark then hook like a bitch to slingshot through the traps at almost 105 mph.

So give it up. You don't have to tell if you don't want, just say so. Hell I just asked 'cause I want to know why my Mark VIII is so slow. :shifty:

yeah, they are called Nitto drag radials and they work GREAT. :D

BS. :bsflag:

I've had Nittos. After the converter and chip, it was a coin flip to see if they would hook at a 98 mph run. Sell that candy to some girl scout, I still ain't buying it.

I have a 40 dollar gtech that works better then that super high tech gtech, On the RR or SS one I ran a 10.45 in the 1/4, my 40 dollar one works really good, its right, track proven, thou the mph is always off

your smarter than I thought, your right about hookin' like a bitch because that's exactly what it did. I don't know when it hooked exactly, but it took off like a shot. no B/S.. I also have the ORIGINAL G- Tech which is accurate too. And I aint braggin' about the G-Tech, merely stating the facts. I like facts. HP is what makes ET.

Guys - please...the attitudes have to go. Take it down a notch or two please.

Ya know, he was the only one there, hes the only one with the knowledge of HIS car, Hes got a slip, why is it so hard to admit that he may have an amazing car? do we all have sand in our vaginas? lets cry a little louder. If he did, he did, if he didnt, he didnt. I personally believe he did. Why lie? Lets have a little more faith in other members here.

:I lets get rid of the tudes.

Thats the attitude im talking about. Lets end the attitudes please. Ive asked nicely twice. Talk about te topic, not who said what to who.
