I love seeing a car prepped properly. Disassembled properly and then painted properly.
Most people think that as long as it is shiney it is a good job.
Putting the paint on is the easy part, it is getting it ready for paint and then putting the car back together that takes the time.

Small update.
Got my rear subframe back from CCMI. I need to pull the bushings out of the knuckles and arms to drill for the grease zerks, but as it sits, these things are smooth as butter.
This set is the prototype for a CNC program C.C.M.I. is developing.

This is something a machine shop in Illinois decided to try out.
As it sits, they are hoping to keep costs around 350-450 per set. (Knuckles and LCA's).

Small update
New Kooks Headers (been sitting a while, and will be jethot coated before installation)
New (50 mile takeout) Sn197 T3650.
We've also been buying primer and paint supplies as the weeks go by just waiting for warmer weather so I don't have to run the heater in the shop.

MICHAEL and I haven't come together on the color . with getting the 97 we now have a Green MARK . So i am leaning towards another Pumpkin but with a stock hood this time. as things have evolved in the car trade as far a coustomizeing in the last 5 years it is blowing a lot of the old school guys away. with the tools and chemicales that are available it unbeleveable what a guy can do in his garage now. i remenber when i used to watch a guy work with lead and his paddles with beeswax to french headlights and taillightes. i used to work with lead for drainage and water supply as a plumber apprentice and journeyman. it is getting to be a lost art. jd

I say stick with the white, it makes it have class. The dark gray seems to be a popular favorite as well.

The Black Lab is Alicia, and the Bulldog is Cassius.
Started more body work in the engine compartment this evening. I'll be stitch welding every seam in the engine compartment before paint. If anything this won't only look better, but will help stiffen the front end a bit.
The Progress updates will be coming more frequently from now on.

Nice welds dude. That project is coming along so nice! I agree with the color scheme though. Since you've stripped it down to bare frame, might as well go with a color you like more! Those dark pewter Greys look nice. So many to chose from when you have a blank canvas like you do right now!

Spent a few hours on this tonight, Mind you this is just using a Miller 135 MIG with Fluxcore wire. No gas for the rig yet.
