Actual Supercharger build thread.. Pics inside..

Why oh why is all the supercharged people going with screw type and not a centrifugal? I am dying to know.

boosting after the throttle plate is very different than boosting the entire intake tube - and all the vacuum lines (EGR, EVAP, brake booster, ...etc)... Then dealing with boosted air and a closed throttle plate in a MAF system is not 'clean'...

Hmm.. good point. I am used to MAP sensor systems.. Thanks for the input.

Excited for a weekends worth of pictures ;) If this thing is done by the Michigan meet, consider me there.

because of instant boost, a centri still has to spool up a little, and if your going to have any lag, you might as well just go with a turbo.

little blowers like the M90 are super cheap and available and put out plenty of boost for what the stock motor can handle

Nice work so far, bud. Looks like it's coming along nicely.

What's happening BRU, dont tell me you're going to let me win :p

Yea.. I'm putting the project aside for awhile.. its really killing me that its so nice and I don't get to drive it.. so in the next couple of weeks, she'll be out with the new shoes and lse bumper.. ill continue this winter or even summer if I buy a tig..

Thanks everyone for the support and it will happen.. I have too much invested for it not to.. ;)

Damn man that's a bummer! What problem did you run in to with the parts?

Just building the intake.. I couldn't find anywhere to rent a gig and the only place close enough was 100 miles away.. my danger ranger isn't what you call fuel efficient so that was out of the question since I would have to make a crap ton of trips.. so ill see if I can afford a tig so I can do it myself and test fit right there..

I cant wait to see those wheels on your car and the Lse bumper!

Damn, that sucks. Well it happens, hopefully you finish it ad dont forget about it

It's sad but at the same time kinda good.. I had her out today and it was amazing! I just have to check to make sure all the injectors are seated correctly because it was missing.. Tomorrow I'll fix the miss, install the new coils, and load the custom tune (so I can try it from 1st in SST :D)..

Also, got to see my angel eyes and HIDs on the car.. Except I'm having problems with them as they like to turn on and off all the time..

I'm looking for a good deal on tires.. 245/35-R20 up front and 275/30-R20 out back.. If anyone knows of a good deal let me know! :) I kinda want to get these things on

ive seen a few Ls's that has needed a relay, for the HID kits to function properly, it really depends on the kit, ive also seen a couple that worked fine off of the factory wiring.

A pic of the Linc out and the angels, hids, and tinted turns..

Looking good! You should check out Firestone or discount tire stores. They are now selling tires on credit, you have to apply with them, and if you pay it in 6months you don't get charged interest
