For those not familiar with the area, is that enough information for you to find the right place?

Pete did you say you will be coming from Maple Grove? If so, you could take 694 east to 94 east to Hennepin. But your nav should get you there.
 
To those that are meeting at John's first (if that's still an option, John :D ) I'll be washing my car over there before heading to Calhoun. If you guys wanna throw down a little cash (like 7 bucks) I can bring my Rubbish Boy's Original Edition wax for you guys to put a coat on your car too. You aply it by hand though, so I don't know if you want to or not. Here are some pictures after I applied it to my LS:

That's a damn good deal Pete and very generous too. Are you doing an ONR wash or a full blown one? I'd bring some 105 and show the guys its power, and maybe some of that CG Sticky Gel etc. If I were you I'd just put on a little detailing expo but that's just how I roll. Make sure you bring lots of microfibers in case the guys want it.

naw not by kid....but anything south of downtown is fubar.
They have it all ripped up to crosstown "hwy 62".

It was so backed up last weekend.
I went to the autoshow downtown and southbound was just locked up.

Going north towards downtown is ok...but alot of the exits are closed.
lake/31st is open.

Just if you can map a different way....I would.:cool:

I'm wondering the same damn thing. Terrible outside right now.

but those pics were taken quite a while ago. Doesn't take away from the fact that they forecast 6-9" today. I'm glad the LS is sitting safely in the garage, with the limited slip diff sitting on the workbench waiting to go in. Gonna pull the rear end tonight to start the work. Then I'll be the only LS at the meet leaving 2 marks on the pavement :D
 
Nice pics! I might take you up on that. I'm gonna wash n wax mine on friday though. We'll see how it looks and maybe I'll need some expert advice. Oh and if your place doesn't work out (john) there is plenty of room at my house with the garage, driveway and backyard. We could certainly do it there.

Nuh uh! I can leave two strips. Albeit one of them is lighter and awfully short :shifty: :D
 
Well, if you're going to use my wax, don't be putting turtle wax on there! Just wait for mine. Trust me, you'll love it.
 
Anyone from BP, CR, MG area in the northern burbs, Im going 169 to 278 then 100, from there its like 2 more turns.

Maybe a meet up at the Fleet Farm in BP on 169 and 85th if anyone is interested?

hey Pete, you are welcome to stop by my place. I was not sure about having a large crowd since there is not a lot of room for the cars. Maybe we can talk more to Nic. I know his place is closer to the meeting area. I will wait to see what idea Nic has and we will just go with the best option. Let us know Nic.:D
 
Thanks for the directions guys!! Hopefully it doesn't start snowin again like it did today got me worried?!? But it all cleared up now, what's the directions to the closest car wash by the park or we meetin up there and showering the cars?
 
I don't know if my place is the closest to Lake Calhoun, but I can accommodate 3 or 4 cars in the driveway and two in my back yard to wash and wax them if that many people wanted to do so. I'm cool with that (plus that would make my neighbor really jealous, he love's these cars :) ) Im about 30 min north of the lake. So that's not a problem for me. Unless anyone else in the area has a better set-up? Pete if we all get together like that, I'll give you some money for your wax and supervision :) .

I'm headed off to my second job in a little while and I won't be able to use the internet then. So if we are starting to make these kind of plans feel free to text me. I can certainly do that during work :D 651-274-4074

Frasch: I have no idea where there would be a car wash near the lake. But it does sound like we might get together somewhere and do a bunch of them.
 
I suppose I could bring some nice car wash and stuff too. Depends on what y'all wanna pay for. Can't give it away, you know.

I could bring car wash (Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash and Gloss or Optimum No Rinse), wheel sealant (Duragloss 105), wax (RBOE), tire dressing (Surf City Beyond Black Tire Pro), and QD.(FK425 and Optimum Instant Detailer)

We'd only have time for wash and wax. No claying or anything like that. But, should be fun nonetheless. No big deal to me where we go. If we have more room at Nic's , then let's do it there.

I was gonna say pek, the I94/694 is only a hop skip and a jump to my house (Champlin), then a jump across the ole miss to Nics in Coon Rapids.

If you guys did want to go to Nics, you could certainly stop by and get me too :D, cruising CR down main is fun, 4 lanes wall!!!
