Baddest LS

Check out the rear-end on that thing! I think the fenders and wheels are stupid, it would have been better with larger wheels instead of filling the gap with more body. Custom hood isn't bad. I would like to see details on the interior and electronics.

In all it looks fairly similar to my setup though. :D

Yeah mine too. In all honesty I really doubt he'd keep up with me at this point with all my test proven ebay horsepower under the hood. I mean hell I have so much horsepower it's actually coming out of the hood at this point. Of course having one of the Limited Edition LS-R SS models with the factory 460 put me quite ahead of the game as I'm sure you can relate to. I haven't had a chance to get her in on the butt dyno yet but I installed new halogen blinker fluid over the weekend as well. I also put helium in my tires which has at least reduced my curb weight by approximately 10-15%. I have already ordered my vinyl roof to help with weight reduction. After that I plan next to install a farm animals sound horn from Pep Boys as I hear they help with flux capacitor efficiency.
 
In all seriousness regarding the roof, I would love to do a CF roof to lower the center of gravity.
 
dude, this guy copied all my next mods, lol, yeah right. that is one of the sickest LS' i've ever seen. i must admit the wide body stand looks a little of kilter but i feel like it needed to be that wide to fit those beefy wheels/tires up under there. i could fit two of my wife's tires in there, lol. as far as the engine goes, i wouldn't even know what to do with a beast like that. all in all i think he has done a terrific job thus far and has not anything that in my eyes looks tacky or out of place. i would love it if someone with an D-SLR took the pics rather than those mobile pics. he does mention a magazine appearance though, so maybe that should suffice. great thread (subscribed)
 
Unless it has at least 750 HP it's a joke. There's a LOT of $$ tied up in that car and if it was possible to buy something stock for less $, there'd be no point to it.

The wide body 'kit', actually an extensive re-work, is necessary to fit the tires in place. Without the tires, the power won't get to the ground. Once more, just a joke!

Not 750 but close enough.

Just got done on the dyno with the Lincoln LS-R yesterday. We kept having issues with the blower belt slipping, but managed a 19psi pull at 745whp

If thats WHP then crank HP is roughly 855HP with rough est of 15% loss thru drivetrain.
 
Hi, my name is Danny Smith. I work at Spec clutch and do all of the work on our cars here. I came to work here after some of the work had been done to the car, but I have been working on it for a couple of years now and I am responsible for getting it finished. It has been a really tough project and now that it is almost done, I am really starting to enjoy it. To answer some of your questions(I'm sure you will have more), it made 745whp and I think it was 540 or so torque @ 19psi. We were having problems with the belt slipping and the pipes trying to blow off, but to be totally honest, I was very happy to see it make it through the dyno session in one piece. I have several bugs to work through and once that is done, I expect a little more boost and rpm. Maybe somewhere around 850whp or so. This car is built for promotion and to be driven on the street, so that is plenty of power in my opinion. This is not meant to be a race car by any means. If it were, it would have turbos and much more power. As far as the interior goes, we had Dakota Digital make a custom digital cluster out of the stock one. It matches the stock radio and climate controls perfectly. I think it turned out pretty sick! As of right now, the interior is completely stock. We have some recaros being recovered and we may do some carbon accents, but that will probably be it for the interior. Right now, everything works like stock except for the climate controls. Only because I haven't addressed that yet. I have the a/c compressor mounted, but have not made lines yet. I have not even ran the heater hoses yet. The main focus was to get it running and tuned first. Have no fear, I will make it all work. The car has a Big Stuff 3 engine management, TKO 600 transmission(which I am lobbying for face plated gears.LOL), Mosier
9" rear solid axle. It is an 04 Cobra engine built by Sean Highland. The wide body is from a mold made from Ford's world challenge LS-R race car and is made from carbon fiber. Right now, it is the only one in existance. I am sure i left several things out. Feel free to ask any questions you have. There will be plenty of exposure on this car. It has magazine spots lined up and we will be promoting it pretty heavy as well.

Damn, dude. VERY impressive. i'd love to see the guage cluster.

What had to be done to fit the engine? Anything besides doing the custom hood?

I see you say that right now, the wide body kit is the only one in existence. Which leads me to assume that there may be plans going for doing other kits.

Was this documented well enough for someone to see the process it went through?

any guess on how much oney you sank into it so far?

The BigStuff3 is running the fuel pump, but what about things like the LS's:
- FEM that does the turn signals, headhights, ...etc
- REM that does some of the rear lights, aux stuff
- driver's door computer
- Advance Trak system
- SRS system - air bags

How did you interface to that?
