Baddest LS

fapfapfapfapfap, dunno about the whole wide body thing, maybe if it wasn't so 'in your face'. But the work done here is amazing!

not crazy about the cluster, but it is pretty cool to have digital readouts.

I am interested to see/read more!

I got a 4 bedroom ranch style house in Sebring Florida with lake property if you ever consider selling the car.

I knew a cowl type hood would look sick on the LS, damn you all for talking me out of it.

that is a well done LS Danny...that's all i have to say ;).

I likw the wide body kit. I'm liking that hood too! Looks beasty, especially when you have the stuff under the hood to back it up. Great work

Damn, dude. VERY impressive. i'd love to see the guage cluster.

What had to be done to fit the engine? Anything besides doing the custom hood?

I see you say that right now, the wide body kit is the only one in existence. Which leads me to assume that there may be plans going for doing other kits.

Was this documented well enough for someone to see the process it went through?
To fit the engine, it's really pretty simple for a fabricator. You do it the same way you would any other. Put it in its place and then fab up custom mounts. There wasn't any cutting or anything. The pan has a little fab work to clear everything, but it is pretty straight foward. I am not sure about there being kits available or not. at this point it is a one off.
Oh, and when you are done promoting the car, and are going to sell it, shoot me a pm. :D
I don't think it will be for sale anytime soon.
So basically, 4.6 + BigStuff 3 + misc crap = 4.6 LS?
There was alot more to it than that.
you mean - swap drivetrain and engine manangement system, swap the PATs and dash - and you have a LS with a different motor?
Don't know what this PATs is you are talking about.
Danny - awesome project!.

any guess on how much oney you sank into it so far?

The BigStuff3 is running the fuel pump, but what about things like the LS's:
- FEM that does the turn signals, headhights, ...etc
- REM that does some of the rear lights, aux stuff
- driver's door computer
- Advance Trak system
- SRS system - air bags

How did you interface to that?
No idea on money. We try not to think about it.LOL
I don't know about all that other LS stuff you are talking about. Aparently, they have nothing to do with the factory ECU. I simply pulled out the stock ECU and installed the Big Stuff as a total stand alone. Everything works in the car. I am not sure about the air bags. I don't plan on testing that! LOL

I wonder how they got the lights to look like that
All that custom work and you were wondering about the lights?

D Smith,
Was it just a preference to use a centrifugal blower over the roots from the Terminator? Would there have been more clearance issues to address with the Eaton over the Vortech?

I may have missed it, but how was the front suspension modified? It appears there are some block off plates in the shock towers.

Dakota Digital did some very nice work arranging the gauges to fit with the stock gauge panel! Overall, nice execution on that LS!

Don't know what this PATs is you are talking about.

Passive Anti Theft System, its the transponder key that keeps the car from starting with out the correct key, i assume its all in the factory ecm that was removed

I really like the wide body work done on this car. I don't know if some of you remember back in around 1980-1983 there was a huge run on cars that peeps did wide bodys on SCCA.(Car craft, Popular Hotrodding ect.) This was right before the "Pro-street" rage of 2 turbos feeding 2 blowers and such.(Doberman J2000 pontiac). They where camaros, monzas and stangs most of the time with large flat fender flares that didn't flow with body lines like this one does. This LS looks mean as heck and CLEAN.

Correct. The PATS is gone with the cluster, and the stand alone fuel system.

Not to hijack this thread...
PATS is waaaay over-rated anyway! The Ford computer at work takes 10 minutes to access it---a guy in the shop has the Snap-on Modis system, it takes him 2 minutes to access it!
PATS is a joke--don't set your heart on its security-trust me. Brand new cars and trucks get stolen all the time with a PATS system, and not towed away either, driven away...

So I was showing these pics to my girlfriend just now. She laughs, and points out that dude's fly is down. lmao.

She basically just told you, "hey I check out dude's bulges on the regular"
