The second one from the bottom makes it look like it sticks out farther than it really does

I'm trying to figure out what to do with the center caps. The VW on the caps is textured so I cant really paint over it.
 
Ben, you got any more details on those rims, they are starting to "wink" at me !

Nvm, I just looked back in this thread and see that it runs with adaptors. (not interested)

and those center caps, you have any close-up pics of them, surely they can be sanded down to rid of the VW textured design and get them flush. No ?

They are VW toureg whe...eeh i'll let him answer lol

and I don't think they can be sanded. I remember the centers on my VW, and these are prob the same.
 
Center caps are easy ben. Find another blank cap like these to pop in there. Thats whats I had to do with my RR's

I'm really hoping to finally get them at least by next month. Spring is right around the corner so I don't want to wait too long.

I know I keep telling you that I will get them soon and it never seems to happen lol. Got too many projects sucking away my money.
 
Thanks for the help Bull. I will most likely be going that route.

I'm not sure how plasti dip would work out. Still think the vw would be visible. Also not sure about sanding. I think Bull's idea will equal less headaches and work.

Mlara you can go ahead and spread the word I don't mind lol less typing I have to do.

Let me know if you find some center caps. I have been looking here and there. I plan on getting tires in the next few weeks so I need to get caps sooner than later. I will also let you know if I find some.

BTW Ben, are you lowering your car at all?

Grille is primed and ready for paint.

Fun fact of the day: Each full size hole in a mclaren grille is about 9.53mm. Had to re-drill a few from when I fixed the broken plastic.

Tint is officially off the tails. Gonna buff them up later when I have time.

Sick! Glad they worked out for you dude, and you get them on wuick. And i apologize about the tint, i guess i could have described how crappy it was a bit more.

By the way change out those turn signal bulbs. That amber makes the white part look a bit darker. I picked up a set of clear bulbs from autozone for like $6 for the pair. Unless you're going LED?
