Car stalled out in water please help

I'd rather stick my hand deep into the engine bay to find a dropped nut than reach up a horse's ass to do the same.

Ya prob couldn't get BR to go along with that anyway !! :)

unless you two get along really well,,,or more like VERY well,,or,,,,,,,never mind........

^ Hahaha you so funny Ron! <slap>

Weren't you supposed to try and be nicer on LVC?

Seems like G-RELL's advice would have saved you the money wasted on oil, a filter, and a starter.

OP I would recommend you look for a replacement car since most people won't be able to help diagnose the problem that aren't there. Honestly, more than half the time the techs at ford aren't exactly the best at their job either. Most likely they didn't look over the issue well enough to determine why the car isn't starting(hence no specific reason except "seized or hydrolocked"). You probably told them the car went through water and shut off. Most techs won't take too much time on a car that might not be worth while for them. If someone was there to determine if you had a bent piston or cracked block you could possibly save the engine but since you don't you're right in stopping the expenditure of more money on this car and look for something new. Most shops and dealers actually suck at their job in fixing cars. Even the mixed advice here would confuse me if i was going through how an engine works for the first time.

Given the unavailability of lower block parts for this engine, it doesn't matter exactly what damage was done inside. The engine would have to be replaced. Since the starter that was on it couldn't turn the crank, nor could a new stater, I see little reason to doubt that it is seized. All it takes to check it is to try to turn the crank by hand. Surely they did do that much.

what did the shop say (stupid song im my head now...damn it)

Does the song go "yip yip yip yip yip yip yip yip" and then " ee ee ee ee ee ee ee ee" and "kakakakakakoow kakakakakakakowww"?

I'm gonna be honest. I do like that song and the other videos (music and general comedy) that Ylvis has put out. Especially the elevator prank.

For everyone else, the song in question is Ylvis' "What does the fox say" which is a pointless set of lyrics set to an intentionally generic pop beat (though most people apparently don't actually know what sound a fox makes). The Norwegian duo also makes prank videos that veer far away from crappy pranks that end in some guy shouting "It's a prank bro, calm down!"
