My 1998 Lincoln Mark 8
Crank, but no start. I disconnected the crankshaft position sensor, stll no start. I took off a coil pack, grounding the end of the spark plug, to grounding. No spark. Ok, so now what? What else could be wrong, that causes no spark?

Since I changed the crankshaft position sensor, and it did not want to start, i thought, why don't I change the camshaft position sensor, too. So, I changed that, then the Lincoln Mark 8, started right up.

Let me understand you. I am referring to a 1998 lincoln Mark VIII. The crank sensor is down low in the front of the passenger side of the engine.

Th cam sensor is high on the front of the driver side and it is hidden behind if I remember right behind the power steering pump.

I am struggling with a no crank. I've send the PCM out to remove the anti theft function but have not reinstalled PCM.

I could not get a signal out of my OBD2 port.
