Custom Cams Installed

yea i am actually leaning towards making some headers next...i would imagine there to be some pretty decent gains, expecially in my case...as for the heads there really isn't many restrictions in the factory heads, but the castings are kinda rough in some areas, so i've had mine polished.

im not trying to put you down or anyone on here but i just dont understand why someone would want to do that to a luxury car, why wouldnt you get a mustang or something? i understand like a CAI or a nice catback just for a nice little tone nuthing too loud. but yea i was just wondering and wanting some feedback
 
honestly i have a lse and a mustang and your sounds like it would eat my mustang =X and that is not okay hahahah

thats good to hear, one less hurdle. glad to be wrong there.

as for replacing the exhaust manifolds, theres actually more room than I thought down there. I dont think I'll get that crazy with this car though.

i also think the menacing sound is quite amusing!

i am assuming this mod is not possible for the 03 and up because of vvt?
The VVT must be taken into account when spec'ing the cams. My four litre Jag replacement engine has VVT and I've arranged for, but not yet done the job of sending them for re-grinding. I expect to have somewhat greater lift and to re-curve mid-lift duration, but most likely will leave the lobe centers alone or even widen somewhat. Thus my intense interest in this latest project.

yea its very amusing actually...i actually drove it to mcdonalds earlier tonight...the drive-thru lady really didn't seem to like it because i had to cut my car off so she could hear my order...:D...and no i haven't really got into it yet....im still data loging tryn to create a good tune....

I like the challenge of making something not know for its performance into somethn people can and will take more seriously :shifty: ...and besides what can u possibly do to a mustang that hasn't already been done before :rolleyes: ...you cant be original without thinking outside the box...so why not build a lincoln ls :p
 
any clips of it with some exhaust on it? or any plans to maybe go for a slightly milder cam?

go any bigger and youll need a custom stall convertor. might need a higher stall speed even with those.

sounds like a beast. next? t-56 swap!!!! (do it! do it! do it!) wont need a stall convertor then either ;)
 
Finally Got The Car Running GREEAATT.....from around 3500+ it feels like a whole other car, 7k comes up VERY VERY FAST.....i will be taking a video of it soon...

what have you done to the valve train and internals to believe you can keep it up at 7k?
 
i have always shifted at 7k...or atleast 6800 so the trans has enough time to engage the next gear by 7k...i have yet to have any problems
