This was my first attempt at making LED bumper lights and I have to admit that I love them installed on the car. The pics do not do them justice.

I thought up of the mod last night and I just made them out of what I had laying around. I didn't have the proper resistor or LEDs so again I just used what I had laying around.

used a calulator too...Voltage = Amps X Resistance and
Watts = Amps^2 X Resistance lol you gotta love the basic EE formulas

I drilled 10 little holes .56 inches apart for the tip of the LED to stick in and superglued the LEDs in.

so please tell me what you think. This is a rough draft! ALL comments whether good or bad are welcome.

Looks great man! I would add another led to either side to make it a little longer. I think it would look more at home that way. But thats awesome!!!!!

i understand the mounting problems, but seeing them run through the middle of the lens might look better, removing the amber lense and replacing it with an amber 3157 led would match well.

That's cool! Now you need to make it sequence or something like this:

i really like it. i agree with the comment about them running along the middle. these would look sick with a clear one and with blue led's.

Someone beat me to it!? I am sooner or later thinking on going with the PCB boards from superbrightleds.com for mine.

I would add another led to either side to make it a little longer.

I am adding two more LEDs

running through the middle of the lens might look better

I will also put them in the middle.

I will be keeping the amber lens and I won't be clearing the corner. (I actually like the amber on the LS)

Any other thoughts before I make the 2nd draft?

maybe run two sets per lens, one like you have it and maybe another above it that flashes with the turn signal

I finally finished them! I did pretty much everything that people suggested on here. I added two more LEDs to the ends to make the LED line longer as well as put them in the center. Here are some pictures of the making and of the final draft.
