I'm 21 and had this since I was 19. I never acted as if I had a lot of money cuz I drive an LS. Ppl assumed I had money, but that's their own opinion. Most ppl in my old area in jersey thought and still think I'm a dealer bcuz I went from livin up there n drivin a 96 sentra to movin down to MD and buyin an LS that's tinted and has rims and looks all pretty n expensive and now havin two cars, with a kid who gets taken care of, and havin a fiance. But like I said, that's what they want to think

Well the LS does look like a more expensive car then it is, you'd have to spend at least 2 to 3 times as much for a german car that looks anywhere near as good.

I had the old hangers cut off and welded onto the new mufflers.
This thread is a funny read. Reminds me of when my oldest daughter was in high school and all the kids went around commenting on the shoes everyone else was wearing. "What a bunch of no life retards, nothing better to do than stare at other kids feet" I'd think.
When I was in high school there was none of this "daddy's car" stuff. It was more you had a car or you didn't. I had a '61 Conti and my brother had a drop top '65 Conti. Everyone loved them 'cause we had room for everyone ( and plenty of room for the girl friend!)

No thats not my M5, my wife and I combined don't make enough to afford that car-
However I have seen some used 06, 07s in the 42-50,000 range so in a couple years when my LS hits around 130K miles they might be in the 20,000 range. You never know, but the more I see those M5s the more I really like them.
It makes me wonder what the LS would have been like if Lincoln had truely stayed competitive with the 5 series BMW like they were when they introduced the LS in late 1999.

third thursday this month there is a car show at my dealership. you should come its in canton right off of 77 on west tusc. its downtown ford lincoln mercury. we also have a great turn-out you should deffinatley come out. it would great to see some more lss' show up.

Then I read that you're 30, and laugh my ass off. You couldn't have afforded a new LS when they came out, unless your parents paid for it.

My friend driving his decked out Eclipse is still tasting my exhaust for that comment. Burned him off the stop light at work on to the highway and by the time he reached 60... he was calling my cell phone telling me that it was no fair my car has better torque and low end power.
I love my LS... my parents told me it sounds like a police car. My mom drives a Crown Vic and my Dad drives a Town Car. I let them drive my car when they feel like cruising. One thing I like is ... it's a Lincoln so it go class but its sporty and very fast when you really hit it.

I called and asked about that once and they said the turnout is almost all 50-70's muscle and classic cars. Is that true? I don't want to be the asshat who shows up in a late model lincoln

i just reused the stock tips and cut on the muffler side of the hanger so when i welded the new mufflers in, it was much easier to get every thing even since the hangers where in the exact same place
My GF got me the K&N FIPK for my birthday. nothing says "I Love You" like the roar from a V8!
