On Wikipedia, it says over the 6 -1/2 years the LS was produced, only 280,000 Units were produced. Makes me think, a substantial amount have either been retired as cash for clunkers, Or written off in accidents. Majority are well over 120,000 Miles, and are lining up for the guillotine. Soon we will only see 05's and 06's Left, and then gone...

I test drove the fusion and MKZ platform. Simply put: They suck. They don't handle like an LS, and the suspension on the MKZ doesn't hold a candle to the LS. New Lincolns don't have that sport / awesome feel that the LS has, that feel of which you usually obtain from a BMW or Audi.

That being said, I cant help but feel i should treasure my 02 and 05.. Cuz "All good things come to an end" and when they do, im gonna miss these cars. And Lincoln doesn't provide an adequate substitute. ='(

Also means, the LS section of this site will fatefully become a Ghost town....

its called balance, and a FWD car will never have it!!!!

while sooner or later finding parts will be a lot harder to do with the relatively low amount of production. after owning a couple of these, they are really starting to show their age and now there are many contenders starting to get around the sweet spot in pricing. a man can only replace so many coils before he can replace no more:(

I too am saying the same thing. Although it's not the rarest car in the world it's something I want to hold onto because I think it's going to be the car Lincoln should have kept making in one way or the other. Understand that the LS paved the way for the CTS if I'm reading everything right.

I too am satisfied with mine. Will be more than satisfied once I can park it, convert it, then put it through a thorough detail work and make it my weekend car. This of course is when another dd replaces it. Since I like the feel of the LS I'd be looking for an upgrade. As much as I'd like a toy hauler, I would like a mid level Euro car just as much for the joy it brings in driving.

On a side note, I was doing my thing today and one of my buddies came up to me and asked what year. He thought it was at least an '07.

It's rhyme time! Mine's on its way there, I'm just trying to maintain until it gets to the situation listed above.

I plan on enjoying mine for a real long time. I will hopefully add an another sports sedan, or maybe even a coupe, that has power, great handling, and luxury and 0 miles so I can baby it from the start and be the only one to enjoy it :). I sadly dout it will be lincoln from the looks of it.

my plan as well, minus the luxury.

I know what i want already tho...Pony

Mlara. Just though of something haha. If we do a trade or something maybe I can hook you up with some fresh looking black leather seats. :)

I'm hoping Lincoln will seriously look into using the 2015 mustang platform. That's the only real hope for a car like this from Lincoln in the near future. We shall see...

It doesn't have to be bad for you to hit it with a pc and some polish. If you have light swirls like you said, even better for you since you only have to do the light or final polish. It will make you fall in love with your ls all over again, it did for me and I only did the hood so far :D

Plus you can do it to the cars of your family members or friends for a small, small, small fee once you get the hang of it.

Probably be next summer's project once I start my career and get a place of my own. The whole place is going to be a man cave.

Yup the 2013 Mustang Gt, but I have such an itch and I'm so in love with this car right now that i don't know if i'll be patient enough to save up for it and just pull the trigger on a 2011 v6, and try to save up for the V8

BEAST!

A man cave with a sexy ls sitting up front, me likes.

Would you sell the ls for mustang funds?

Would you sell the ls for mustang funds?

Probably. Don't think i'd have the kind of money to keep both especially with the money i know i would be dropping to mod the mustang lol

NOT likely to happen anytime soon tho, so the LS is staying with me for a while.
