Deserted car and future sucks.

for the record tho, i think navigator looks pretty cool and i would probably test drive one if i had kids to haul. luckily i dont have any (that i know of)

My manual LS replaced a XR4Ti (that was 16 years old, with 280,000 miles). Parts availability for that car remained (remains) good. The LS may be a little harder since there was no European version sold in large numbers. Mine LS is 13 year old now (built in Nov 99). I hope to get three more years out of it, by then mileage will be approaching 200,000.

Replacement will be either used ATS from Cadillac, possibly a Lincoln if they make a four door off of the Mustang platform (as long as its not too large and has a MT), or a Mopar if they ever make a smaller RWD 4 door with MT.

I'll keep mine until I at least pass 100K-mi. It's just too clean looking and the body, while starting to look dated, still has classic bold lines to it. I'll probably enjoy another year or two of no car payments then go buy an off-lease Navigator or Escalade and begin seriously toying with the LS. Never did like the idea of modding a daily driver too much, specially when you start looking at more then simple bolt-ons.

lol jokes

by 2040 cars will drive themselves

http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/18/tech/innovation/ieee-2040-cars/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

"The timeline for autonomous cars hitting the road en masse keeps getting closer. GM's Cadillac division expects to produce partially autonomous cars at a large scale by 2015, and the automaker also predicts it will have fully autonomous cars available by the end of the decade. Audi and BMW have also shown self-driving car concepts, with the former working with Stanford to pilot a modified TT up Pikes Peak. Meanwhile, Google is ripping along at its own rapid pace with a fleet of fully autonomous Toyota Prius hybrids that have logged over 300,000 miles. And the company has pushed through legislation that legalizes self-driving cars in Nevada. California is close behind, and Google has also been busy lobbying joyriding lawmakers in Washington, D.C."

people from the future will look back at a time when cars were drivin by humans and they will think how dangerous

the LS will be in the museum

drive ur cars while you can have fun with them and let go when its time end or story

Try and make my LS autonomous...I double dog dare you. And while you're at try and take my AR-15 and my .40 cal hahahahahaha

agreed, it just gets too many miles on the car and wears everything out faster, then your spending all of your money on maintenance instead of doing what you wanted too with it.

I don't see it as taking off seeing as an autonomous car involved in an accident makes the manufacturer liable as when the car is driving itself, the manufacturer is the one in control of it. Everyone who gets in an accident with a car driving itself will be suing the manufacturer, regardless of any hold harmless contracts the car's buyer may have signed.

when technology is advance enough you will never hear the words "car accident" it will be a thing in the past NEVER underestimate exponentially growing technology

the world of the future will look nothing like today it will be drastically transformed by technology

HAHAHAHA I cant help but think about STAR TREK with the whole "Transporter" and "Beam me up scotty". Transport instantly from place to place.
I think main travel from country to country is by shuttle craft, which takes minutes at best from say Italy to USA.

But until then, Im gonna need a Lincoln LS'ish vehicle to tie me over once the original Lincoln LS fades away into Times memory.

Uh huh, nothing ever breaks, nobody ever hacks into the system, animals never jump out in a blind spot, ect. On the hacking, imagine some nut hacking into a system and setting a command that at 0803AM all cars accelerate to 88MPH then execute a hard left turn, passing the virus along via Bluetooth or whatever system they use to allow cars to communicate with each other, which is the only way a system like this can work.

And there will be no software bugs in the future either?

I do picture hackers crashing (literally) cars becoming a major pastime.

We are going to be technology's bitch haha.

wait until NANOTECHNOLOGY is advance enough you will be able to change the color of your car, clothes , house etc with the touch of a button

we eventually will become computers AI (artificial intelligence) everyone knows human body the brain inside cells all work like computers its only a matter of time before technology catches up dont think that robots will take over the world and kill us all we will become them the robots will be us when an AI can think feel have emotions and live thousands of yrs why would anyway choose weak flesh and bone human? it will simply be out with the old and in with the new

no i'm not being sarcastic...i also believe that religion is the biggest hoax known to man kind although i do believe in a creator/god

if you don't believe that sooner or later there will be self-aware machines that have human level intelligence your in denial...or maybe your religious and its easier for you to believe humans have magical souls that cannot be replaced by machines

Trollolololol lmao

Religion isnt a hoax so much as its a tool, being used.
"magical souls that cannot be replaced by machines"
you know, no where in the Bible does it actually say "We have an immortal soul that lifts up and goes to heaven upon death or burns in hell... etc.."

In fact, in Genesis chapter 2 verse 7: "And God... and to blow into his nostrils the BREATH OF LIFE, and the man came to BE a living soul"
Doesn't say aquire living soul, or planted in him a living soul. Man came to BE one.
Just a tid bit i thought i would point out of Catholicism's, many, many, many flaws. =D

you know, god even has a name too.
