Finally getting around to it..

Ok I see it, but a 17mm, 19mm, 11/16, and 3/4 dont fit. What am I not getting about this? 19mm fits but its too big and just stripped a little.

Now I may be stating the obvious here.. but if 19's too big, and 17's too small, then I would try 18mm.

Alright how do I separate the hub from the axle, everything is disconnected.

tap on the axle with a hammer, and hopefully all the WD-40 you put on it lets it slip out...be very careful not to damage (mushroom) the end of the axle though. I think I screwed the nut back on till it was flush with the end, then hit it.

prolly should have knocked it loose before unbolting everything..:shifty:

the right way to do it is with a puller/pusher...bolt it to the lugs, the push out the center...try not to beat it into the rear end, you could hurt somthing in there.

So I have to hit the outside of the axle back in towards the center of the car?

Ok its off, does the spline in the center of the wheel bearing need to be pressed out as well? My new bearing does not have splines in the center.

basically the bearing is pressed into the spindle, then the hub/splines are one piece...it presses into the center of the bearing...make sense?

Everything is out, got it all done and showed up at the dealersh!t at 530pm which means, the bearing wont be in till tomorrow  Oh well, shell be back on the road tomorrow then. Ive got about 3 1/2 solid hours into this so far.

221??? Damn i think my tq wrench only goes to 150 or so?? The two caliper bolts im pointing to in the picture were a complete :q:q:q:q and thus cause my knuckle carnage lol, grabbin a drink and going back out, un-bolted that bar(tie rod?) towards the rear, lower control arm is next. I need to find some wd40 or pbblaster first tho.

yup, thats why when i changed my back rotor i just snapped a stud and slide out the old rotor and slide in the new one, this way i dont have to take the caliper arm off, those back bolts are tough on the ground:D

The nut is probably accessible from underneath. I don't remember though. Been a long time since the LSD install.

when i replaced the front control arm it had everything together, so it bolted from the top and the bottom at the arms, the arrow is pointed at the ball joint, the stud coming out of it should have a square end to put a vise grip on, then right above that you turn the bolt and it should come apart
