G-RELL's Full PLasti Dip & Others

you will have a hard time color matching with Plasti dip... If your wanting that look (which is a good one, its what I did before PDing) go to paintscratch.com and order actual paint...

don't understand what you mean. plasti-dip won't match from can to can if i'm doing my wheels, front grill, and license surround in the anthracite?

I think he misunderstood what you said , he thinks you want to match the color of car by usong plasti dip , it will match man can to can

oh ok. yea i don't want to do that right now. not sure that would really look all that different given my paint color, anyway. definitely want some contrast and may even do the "LINCOLN LS V8" badging as well.

sorry, yeah I thought you were trying to match the factory color (which is possible, just would take some trial and error)... not sure how the anthracite will look against the factory color, but give it a try... cant hurt!

^ thanks guys

g rell no way i have that photo saved im getting that color done as soon as spring comes

LOL bring it down, we'll do them together!

It has so far, I've been thinking about getting this for the interior to cover up the woodgrain, http://www.ebay.com/itm/390709901121?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649, since my interior is the dark charcoal or whatever, I didn't want to do more black, and I think the silver will contrast nicely and compliment the silver exterior color. I also ordered the 3rd brake light.
I like!

haha man I wish , i read his recipe for this and he used pearl powder in there , i was thinking of either mixing some pearl with black dip ( less pearl to get a darker color ) or use anthracite and add a tint of black for a darker antracite

Yep... cool stuff going on in the dip world! Still planning to change mine, and hopefully do two more soon...(-2 degrees right now)

im stoked , you still thinking about doing that metallic pearl that audi had ? and yea same here in Chicago , so cold it cracked my windshield 0.o

Really need to figure out how to convince my dad to let me plasti dip this spring.. Idk why he's so against it... Side note I did order the "objects in mirror are losing" stickers that were talked about early in the thread! Funny and cheap off amazon! Cost me $5.02

show him the evidence man , dip is looking like exotic paint jobs now, give him the it will protect the paint from scratches speech (which it does )

Haha I'll try that, and yea, I can see most of my income being dumped into cars

almost similar as the audi color we wanted , I still like the other color better , as soon as I vinyl my roof gloss black , im going to attempt the crazy and dip my car flat black with cans , im estimating 20 to 25 cans for the whole car minus the roof
