Ok
so I know everyone's been waiting for a new dip color, that was placed on hold for two reasons. A). was waiting on more info on the new topcoat (#autoflex).. and B) slammed with house updates since closing in June. At this point just about every room has had a project (closing some rooms off, building office, painting, game room etc). That said, the garage was the last project I thought I'd share....
It became the catch all from all the other projects, so excuse the mess in the pics below. Its all just about taken care of (waiting on trash day for the last bit). It took this project a bit longer just trying to work around it all. With it being not the largest two car garage, every bit counts, its about the same as my old garage (Pics above), there I just plastered everything to the wall. It certainly worked, but not my most favorite look for a garage.... so I set out to improve...Garage is a standard unfinished, two car (~22'x20 IIRC) a little tight for a LS AND expedition
It started with an awesome deal on these cabinets I found on CL (came out of an office building) nearly mint.. haggled down to $300... (12" deep. assorted lengths but a total off ~24')
Mapped out placement (including counting for the slope of the garage) AND added outlets (entire garage had one...ONE!!)
ran HDMI too (not to code, i know)
never got a good after pic, but here ha go
This was the other side LOL....
Storage was #1, so after cabinets, I bought a new tool box to replace by old Craftsman 8 drawer 30" box (kept the bottom as you'll see)...
52" 18 drawer (home depot for those looking)
Then painted...grey matches the cabinets...
after that, started my over garage door storage (all lag bolted to framework)....
primed and painted
next on to the back wall, preped for all its plans
primed
