I realize the answer is already here somewhere, I simply cannot find it. I have searched for hours, many different ways. I have found the thread that lists all the plastic parts that need to be replaced in the Gen II Cooling systems, but I cannot find this information for Gen I.

At the risk of being inundated with yet more posts of what an idiot I am, I nevertheless need the parts list for the 2002 LS 3.9 to replace failing cooing system parts since it differs somewhat from the Gen II's. Part numbers for any metal replacement parts will be especially helpful.

I replaced the fan pump and fan motor because the idiot that owned the vehicle before me ruined them by putting water in the reservoir. I drove it 3000 miles before any kind of issue arose, so I didn't even know to look for this kind of problem . It still runs hot after bleeding according to proper instructions.

Should Jesus Joe offer me the link to this list, then I thank you for your trouble, as well as anyone else who might help. What would be even better would be if someone could show me how to make the right search inquiry to bring this up.

Thanks all.

Thanks BR. I had already sent you a thank you for the Jaguar metal housing info I had found on another thread. I will get these parts to put on the shelf for when they are needed. Turns out my running hot problem was not the typical LS failed plastic component issue (YET, fingers crossed). Some meathead put the upper hose on the degas bottle on the vent. The system was never getting pressurized and was therefore constantly sucking in air, boiling when stopped at ambient pressure, and blowing virtually all the coolant out when in traffic or stopped.

One simple line causing a mess of issues. I thoroughly tested it today (more than I wanted). I went on a 45 mile trip that took over 3 hours, mostly sitting on the interstate, and it never moved past the mid mark. Before, after 20 miles of hwy travel, as soon as I got into traffic it would run hot. Since I was still testing to see if it is fixed there is virtually no antifreeze in the system and it worked perfectly. Now I think I can confidently put antifreeze in it again without blowing it all out every time I drive it.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this in another link about overheating, but it would be good for those who aren't very familiar with this exotic system to check this if they are boiling out the degas bottle. I can see how it could happen if someone removed the bottle or replaced it and got the hose back on the wrong nib.

Thanks for all the rest of this info.

Is it really that simple? 'stat, bottle, and 3 junctions? The Gen 2 list is a lot longer. No hose under the manifold? What about gaskets and o-rings? No 9n499 debauchery?

You really should upgrade the Thermostat housing to the all aluminum JAG version, cheaper and better.

Where do you get the full part numbers from? at Fordparts.com the numbers you have listed come with a note: "Only a partial ("Base") part number is displayed here. For your convenience, the full part number will be displayed on your final invoice and website transaction records; or, contact your Dealer as required."

When searching for these numbers a lot of different things pop up with prefixes and suffixes to that number, most of which clearly are not the right part.
