Getting ready to pull my engine....

That looks real good. Sorry, I'm not too affiliated with the painting process, what was that white stuff you were putting on it, and what exactly were you doing? Is it just polish?

WOW that color is smokin HOT, you should be able to take an award at Carlisle. Congrats Mike that is some amazing work, i won't be at Carlisle but i will be at the meet in July can't wait to meet you.

Thanks guys, KD00LS, it's a buffing compound. You sand down the clear coat with 1500, 2000, and then 3000 Grit in those stages, and then buff the haze out of it. This gets rid of the "orange peel" that is put in when you paint it.

No pictures for this update, just stats.

Tomorrow everything left other than the hood and spoiler will be in paint. I've been doing the body work on the doors, and that has been holding EVERYTHING else up from being finished. You can't hang the fenders because the door hinges, and can't hang the front bumper cover, because the fenders need to be on.

Hood and spoiler were delivered this A.M. and went right in to the booth, to be baked @ 185 a few times before I start priming and blocking the waves out of em.

All in all, I'm happy with the fiberglass quality of both pieces, but the edges of the hood left something to be desired. (did'nt look like the cared too much to finish them smoothly.) I will have to add more glass, and resin to get em 100% like I want them.

My wheels and tires are mounted and balanced, 1.5" lowered spring kit is on the way, and all of my stereo equipment is installed. I have some work to do yet, on the IMRC control box wiring, to get them functional again.

anyway, this is me for the next couple of weeks. :runaway:

Mike

I cant wait to see it man. Ill be at carlisle probably wearing some type of seahawk stuff. Im the only hawk fan on the east coast so you will know its me. :)

I am interested on the handling of the 95 after you replaced the air ride with the lowering coils!

Hey Pepp, I replaced my air ride front and back last june with the 1.5 inch lowering kit and my car rides and handles much better than it ever did with the air ride even when it only had 40,000 miles on it.

You have done a very good job on the 95 Mike and the vid was cool. Those rims are they the Foose rims you were talking about getting? Just saw the pics, when you open your own shop, i just might have to bring up one of my Lincolns up there.

Lookin good. Hits 2nd nice too.

yeh, was that a chirp i heard hitting second?

looks great, and i love that you ditched the chrome moldings on the sides and bumpers

not only 1-2 chirp, but if you notice, it broke them loose on take off after already having traction. These are 275/40/17" and sticky as hell.

This car is friggin MEAN!
