I replaced EVERY plastic piece and hose in my cooling system except the degas bottle, and the radiator, in 2009. It wasn't 2 weeks later the degas bottle exploded. Funny thing....I just bought the extended warranty after replacing all the hoses myself, and the tow, degas r/r, new t-stat and coolant flush and fill was under warranty 
Fast forward to Thursday (2 days ago), lost the radiator on the 10 freeway at 530 in the morning, on the way to a work meeting. No more warranty......
