What would you say to the Lincoln designers if you knew that truly monitored this forum for feedback? My first two requests would be at least 375 horsepower and a panoramic sunroof. I really want at least a 1/4 of my center roof section to slide back. Sh** would be hot.

A dynamite-assisted alternator removal system. :)

1) Coyote motor from the GT (or GT500?)
2) a non blue-whale or handle-bar mustache grill
3) RWD with IRS using a freaking 8.8" standard gear and diff
4) Does the Nurburgring in under 8-minutes

I would love to see 3 Versions sold.

2013 Lincoln LS--3.5L Ecoboost V6 370HP 18" Standard Wheels,19" Optional
2013 Lincoln LSE-5.0L V8 420HP 19"x9" Front Rims/19"x10" Rear Rims Black
2013 Lincoln LS-R-6.2L S/C V8 650HP 19" Forged Polished 5 Spoke Wheels

It kinda is still made today.... The Jaguar XF.

But yes coyote motor or 3.5L ecoboost with rwd and 8.8 LSD. Could use the same styling as the ford falcon but with Lincoln touches.

Better stereo head unit, better lug nuts, V8 w/manual transmission option, more leg room in the back seat, more cup holders, more power jacks, more storage space, lower fenders/less tire to fender area, wheels w/different bolt pattern & offset, electric cooling fan.

Have you heard the THX??

Its still made and even better now. And the gen II fan is pretty good but just stupid loud. Everything else you said is on point.

My father has the THX(I think it's THX, whatever the top option is) system in his MKZ and it is pretty incredible for a stock system.

Haven't heard that, wish I had it. I was referring to the 6 disk CD changer that fails.

Its sweet.

Four component speakers, two rear subs and two amps. Only thing that sucks on it is the headunit because it looks outdated and wont play dvd's.

I agree with 04LS ! I will take the BOSS 302, 5.0L, with manual. Add blower! Rouch Stage 3 suspension! That will keep my wife out of my turbo Volvo coupe!

If ifs and buts were cocks and sluts, then we would be in a gangbang. This thread is like going on a picnic and not getting a handjob.....POINTLESS.

Thanks for your invaluable feedback.

Not as pointless as half of the mark threads.

I think these models would be killer. Think of the factory parts you could use to upgrade the older (Gen 1 and Gen 2 LS's) with these "Gen 3" parts!

Many have already freshened up their LS's to make them modern, but factory upgrades such as:

  • bi-xenon projector lamps
  • LED lighting inside and out
  • "My Touch" audio system
  • Factory remote starting
  • Push button ignition
  • Factory steering wheel shifting paddles

The LSE or LS-R should also have a Alcatrera and carbon fiber interior trim options/Recaro seating option (like Cadillac CTS-V).

And since we are dreaming....the LSE should have the option of 4 wheel drive (for handling, not off road driving)

A LS-L option might also be OK. More rear seat leg room. Maybe model it after an Audi A8-L.

Well i'll tell you what this is what I wanna see truly!

Yea, but he's right. As long as Lincoln sees Buick buyers as their target market they won't produce an LS successor..... EVER!! Look at their direction. Nothing more than gizmos and gadgets. I don't care if it's AWD and 800hp. The engines all sit sideways and they are nose heavy exercises in oversteer. There won't be a manual due to complete lack of sales. When I bought my 1st LS in 2000 (I DID want the manual!) my dealer told me the manual trans cars sat on the lot for over 90 days. That's an eternity in car sales. Face it boys, the vast majority of Americans don't want to shift themselves anymore.

Anyway, I wouldn't look to Lincoln for any type of performance luxury car anytime soon. Most of what you guys want can be had in a Mustang anyway.

It isn't so much about being pointless as seeing what tends to interest one person vs the next. We all know it is not going to happen. We may have the last of the Lincoln v8' sedans.

I agree, im ok with driving the Ls for some time to come you cant beat the deal at the end of the day, v8,leather,rwd, etc.

what else can you buy other than an Ls thats affordable to the general public that have these features?
