Kill Stories

Hey I have a 9sec Cobra on street tires...

Cobrapassside.jpg

Just my quick 2 cents. It is possible to have a 9 second cobra on stock tires. The thrust would just have to come from a source other than those tires. So, If he did one of those jet powered dragster jobs it is entirely possible. Didn't they do that on Monster Garage once?

ILLS you don't know anything about jet engines so there! :D

Or, if he has a flux capacitor he only needs to get to 88mph then he can go back in time to make sure he finishes at the nine second mark. To him the trip would take 15 or 20 seconds, but to everyone watching it would take 9 seconds.

ILLS, do you know anything about flux capacitors and time travel? I didn't think so!

When your argument has been beat just move the target.

Sorry ILLS I didnt write back sooner. And no I wasn't looking around online for tire sizes. And I see that you remeber the Cobra had a Bell charger on it. But if you also remeber I had the whole rear of the car rebuilt, abd I mean everything. The stock Cobra had a hard time launching with all the wheel hop. As for Lincoln00 he has no clue about this conversation. A Mach 1 is a far cry from a Cobra. Especially the one I had. So ILLs you can call BS all you want but if you never saw the car owned one or even worked on one how do you know what it was capable of? I suggest you go talk to some guys that know a few things about the cars and different set ups for the car. You will come back very surprised and saying you are sorry. The new Cobras even with the same work can't compete with the Termantior Cobras.

shows how much you know.... a mach1 with a procharger will own a cobra all day long.... solid axle in the mach.... stock for stock the cobra is 1 mile an hour faster through the slalom and .4 to .5 faster in the quarter if the cobra driver knows how to drive... if not the mach 1 wins! and my procharger comment is a stock cobra vs a mach1 with a procharger.... now it is not far from the cobra at all.

all the cobra has on the mach is the iron block and forged internals... so keep going off topic... you never owned a cobra on 19 inch street tires running 9's. keep trying to make me look dumb to make yourself feel better smart guy...

I still cant believe he said he will buy another car and make ILLS reimburse him.

Hes built one.

Hes also got a flux capacitor in the works. Couldn't find a Delorian so we are using my Town Car. If your gonna time travel you got to be comfortable.

Ok ILLS I will post pics on here tomorrow for you since iam not working. And since you know so much about racing and turbos and cars in general, Answer this question for me. How could a stock Honda Fit beat a Stock EVO in 0 to 80? Lets see how much that little brain of yours knows. Oh and if any one else can answer it feel free to. I would love to see who actually knows the answer to this one. I will tell you guys more about my cars as long as you can show me you understand them. I don't mean understand my cars, I mean cars in general. And someone is doing their homework, I see you noticed the 64 Conti. Oh and by the way ILLS the Cobra was a convertable also. I know you have something to say to that. But if you can't answer the EVO and Fit question you are not worth my time or breath. It's really a simple question that anyone who knows about turbo's and racing shoulod be able to answer. Oh and the mods went past 50,000 just to let you know.

Easy.

Slash the tires on the EVO :D

Or are you talking about the electric nature of the fit. I've seen a Smartcar smoke a Lambo. I don't know which steps to take to do it though.

Assuming it actually is like my kids powerwheel ;) all you do is hook up a few extra batteries!! :headbang:

How about this ILLS, if you are up to it? I will buy another Cobra do the same exact set up I had. And where do you live exactly? I will take you to the track and run the 9's for you, if you are willing to reimburse me for proving you wrong. YOU WANNA SEE A 9 SECOND COBRA PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS.

Buy another COBRA, what are you 12 years old!

Lets see copies of the timeslips Ave@ss!

I've never had anything that ran better than 12's but I kept the slips for years.

"Blueprinted" neat word for a 12 year old but it doesn't mean jack anymore, its an old catch all phrase that magazine readers use. How about balanced, matched, ported, flowed, relieved, flyweighted those are a few updated words you could toss around next time bigshot.

Lets see copies of the build sheet for this "blueprinted" motor, every legit machine shop produces one so the build specs can be duplicated if/when the motor goes south.

Your dad must not have given you the same speach that my dad gave me!

This is where I spend my free time following his advice, keeping my mouth shut and my head down.

If you look in the back corner next to the chopped merc, rests an "old" 850+ hp/750 ft lb 468 bowtie, large chamber aftermarket heads, an odd wilson engineering low rise alcohol injection, forged crank and powder rods. Its obsolete but it will find a home in one of the next shop projects.

But its your story Ave..... just keep talking..... but I think I hear your mother calling you to come home, its after your bedtime.

Hehehehehe. You are going to find this hilarious...I actually do know quite a bit about jet engines. I have a jet engine that I am building in my garage right now. Once done I may put it into a go-kart or just make it into a free-power turbine unit. We will see.

EDIT: Ah Jason already posted a link to that thread...

ILLS, do you know anything about flux capacitors and time travel? I didn't think so!

Ya got me there. Let me rent all of the Back to the Future movies. I will be back on Monday with my 9 second DeLorean. I ran those times on street tires ya know...

Wow, just when I thought you were all out of stupidity we encounter a new low for you... I have a little math equation for you so here goes.

Lies + ridiculous claims x retarded challenges / off the wall "quizzes" = Newby idiot who needs to get a clue.

Thats what happens when you don't turn your own wrenches... ;)

Sweet! Is that an original belly tank lake racer? And that's a nice flathead you have there, too!

I really dont know if this classifies as a kill story but, i drove my friends magnun srt-8 yesterday for a few hours, that car is fast! i didint think a wagon could move like that, well anyways back to my story, i pull up to a light, there is a mustang GT, pretty loud, i try to keep my head str8 but this car is calling me so i look over, and this guy is looking dead in my face, he nods, i say hi u doing, light turn green and i mash the gas, he turned and i just wasted a whole bunch of money because in the 40 miles i drove 1/4 tank of gas had been used. So the Maggie srt-8 passes everything but a gas station.

Lets face it ILLs you don't know :q:q:q:q about cars and I turn all my own wrenches. I don't own a machine shop so some parts have to go out and be done. But like I stated before you know nothing about the Cobra or the detail and work that went into it. The Fit vs EVO in an 0 to 80 time is a legit question. If you knew have the :q:q:q:q you said you did you would have the answer to it. And I don't see any one else coming up with a guess. So as far as iam concern the guys talking :q:q:q:q on here no ablouletly nothing about cars unless they read it somewhere. And as for the guy with the photos of his shop, you are still living in the past unless those are pics of your dads cars. Which I am willing to bet they are. I am waiting for someone to show me they have half a brain before i start posting pics and telling you guys details. Until then you don't deserve to know.

And that actually goes to say a lot. You see those of us that know nothing about racing cars even know you are full of steaming brown sh*t!
