Ok - the kooks headers are in. Catalytic Converters are next. They'll be tig welded in tomorrow. That'll complete the header install.

Next are 4.10 gears, denny's driveshaft and a torque converter. After that, it gets a custom dyno tune. All in time for Carlisle. (Link to Carlisle Info)

How bad did you have to bend up the cylinder #8 pipe to get around the steering knuckle?

I also was wondering about the steering knuckle.... I thought it had to be changed??

Looks good. Have to say it looks like a tight fit and probably takes some patience and time to get those things in there with scatching the crap out of them. Thats what makes it so sweet when completed.

Looks good joey!

this is gonna be one helluva trip.

Between my 95 with 2.5" and 4.10's and yours, this is gonna be a loud trip.

Ok - they're in!

Headers, high flow cats, all new O2 sensors as well. Sound is awsome, and I can FEEL the power difference. Next, torque converter, driveshaft and 4.10s

They slipped right in. No obstructions. Pulling the K Member is the only way to do this IMO.

I agree on pulling the K-member..... looks awesome Joey, I wish kooks headers were around when I put my Motorsport shorty's in.

Thanks. SO far so good. No CE light. :D

I gotta figure out how to dampen the sound from the drivers compartment a bit mire though. Cant hear my stereo too well :D :D

Hope you ran it before you hooked up the mufflers. AAHHHThe sound of open headers.............:shifty: :shifty:

It's cheaper and thicker than Dynamat.

But do we know if its better for sound insulation? Thicker isnt always better. (no jokes please) :)

 Lol!!! Joey, go to www.fatmat.com to learn more about their excellent product, I swear by this stuff. it is better and cheaper than DynaMat which in it's own right is a good product too. but I'm all about saving money when and where I can. so I can spend it on stuff like 1100.00 dollar HID headlights Lol!!! :D... in all fairness here is www.dynamat.com too.

I already have dynamat in the rear of the car (under back seats and in trunk)

Im looking for something that I can also put under the seats, in doors, maybe on the underside of the trunk (right above the exhaust) Fatmat may be a good option.

Also - it has been suggested that I have the entire exhaust coated - any thoughts on this? I dont think there would be any performance gains, but it might be worth considering.

Fatmat is the way to go joey.

If you wanted to go a step further, pull the dash, and the carpet, and have a truck bed liner sprayed in the subflooring. It'll help more than you can imagine.

Mike

Coating the whole exhaust is not worth the money.

Joey, you said they were gonna TIG the exhaust, that looks like just a normal MIG job? (although, it is much harder to TIG on the car)

Paul.
