Kooks Headers - Install Update

Ya, just keep on adding more and more weight. Soon, the headers will be wash. Then you could put on some heavy-ass 20" rims and really slow that pig down.

Coating the cats-back part of the exhaust won't do anything for performance but if you want people under your car, it can't hurt the bling factor.

If it's too loud, change mufflers to a quieter performance one. Loud doesn't equal fast.

Looks good, though. I don't envy you haveing to work on that thing!!

It's not just the mufflers. With the Kooks headers I have more 'under the car' noise from the exhaust. The noise at the rear actually sounds good!

I can't wait 'til I do electric cut-outs to see what the 'under the car' noise levels are! :D

Got emissions here - so I cant gut the cats

Lucky me, no cats.

I'm talking electric exhaust cutouts, like this setup...

get a po box anywhere west of Aurora, even Sugar Grove (5 min west) and register the car there then.....................................................................................................poof no more emissions:D

And....Here is a sound clip..... Kooks Headers

Going to the dyno saturday.

After the gears go in, I'll be getting it custom tuned and the sound should improve quite a bit.

Thanks. Its running real rich. The tune should take care of that.

joey what mike said about the bed liner you would get a lot of fumes from the higher heat off the headers for a while so check this out before trying that. looking good and remenber who helped install it, as far a sound deading try stuffing a couple of bodys under the carpet but that would be dead weight. just what you needed a wise a-- . take care and see you before carlyle. jd
