Without pics showing exactly what broke you can't really expect us to give you any suggestions on rigging it up.

No thanks. We're not into muddy parts. :) Dude, piece of advise. Call that guy up that made you that offer & tell him you will let it go for $1,500 because you need money for school. You will win 100%. The car is trash. When you get the $1,500, grab $200 & lay down some gravel in your front yard. I'm assuming you don't live in a barn so fix that issue otherwise none of the cars you own will last long, or buy a nice 4x4 truck. Otherwise save up a couple bucks, buy a decent El Camino project, become a member on www.elcaminocentral.com & start posting over there.

Don't let people get to easily. Growing up, and learning about cars, and just life, is an experience. I am still young myself, early 20's, and yes I have been cursed at, looked at like im stupid, feelings hurt, and all that good ****. Made me who I am today though, and just realize it's a part of life. Alot of the older guys, have no patience, and are pretty mean, but this doesn't apply to all of them. You will learn as you go though. Hell, I have had a Gen 1, and now a Gen 2, and still am learning about these cars. Props to you, for wanting to learn by asking questions! Too much knowledge, is never a bad thing.

i know.right cars.are my.passion and.hobby if i had the money id have a four car fully loaded garage with a lift but a beat up 2 car garage and 4 stands and a jack is enough for me the harder you work the more rewarding seeing that your able to do it just as good the hard way

easy Big A, layin' it down cold and fo real like!
YM8L, I have to agree though..it's much easier to have nice car if you start with a nice car, trade up whenever possible...the potential for your >300k car may be very limited

i know but anythings possible but for me starting.with something.nice is not much fun i find it fun and more entertaining to start with less i crawled under her today my phone battery was dead but does the mark oil pan have a little chmaber attached to the passenger side of it it looks awkward it appears to have a small tiny leak of a drip every now and then from it but i know my oil pan gasket is seeping

i hear that. :iconcur:

yes, it does.

probably the pan gasket.
not heard of many of the chambers leaking but i guess it could be possible.

the pan looks brand new along with the drain plug the paint aint even scratched as long as it stays a small seep i wont worry about it for now seeing that ill probably wait to do something like that till when ill have enough time to take my time and have the proper area also my tranny some bolts look new on the pan and some look like they never been touched i pull the dip stick the fluid is in great shape not dirty, smelly,or burned should i take a chance and change it to mercon v or should i wait opinions are welcome

i find it hard to believe that the trans hasn't had some kind of maintenance. there's no way a 4r70w without fluid changes, or maybe even a rebuild, made it to 300k.
it probably already has mercon v in it.

if the fluid looks good and you want to change it, i think you'd be alright doing that.

true but i only know the cars oil change history is there a way to figure out if it has mercon v in it or not already

turn in for a few bux...
don't change the trans fluid imo; unless you know the history and it was changed sometime in the last 100k

the fluid looks better then the fluid in my moms 05 sable that had a tranny rebuild last year and i have a floor of which her car lacks ill post pics of the holes tomorrow if interested

my trans was serviced at 116k; at 166k the stealer drained and refilled, not even a real service or flush; it's been leaking from the main seal ever since...drives fine...leaks...f'n stealers
