Leather!

Greg, Those leather seat covers appear to be softer than factory leather. Can't wait to see them on the car.

Looks great Greg! looks almost identical to what I want to do but with a darker red and using suede. Got this page book marked.

found these on ebay, there are several different brands, prices, etc but even for PU Leather whatever that is prob better than vinyl anybody heard of these?i mean for $60 thats super cheap especially if your interior is shot.

Those are not leather covers that you replace your current leatehr with. Those would go over your seats like the ones you buy at a parts store.

But covers don't use hog rings as I know these come with a bag of 70 or something. The one ad says replacement seat covers. I know there's a lot of false advertising but replacement implies r/r. It sounds like your right that's about what the price of fabric covers you see at auto stores. And they really aren't form fitting like in the picture. Ill call them to find out. But I have a feeling they are just that covers

After buying a set of hog ring pliers, and hog rings, I set out to getting everything on. Got the back seat bottom on, so far so good.

FYI, I didn't mention, the leather place can;t do netting for the back, so it will look like this.

Must be nice to actually receive your parts after you payed for them...

:shifty:

Whats up with the front of the bottom portion on the drivers seat? Am I the only one that see's it?

I hope they tighten up some Greg. That fit just really isn't looking too good but maybe some heat or some extra hog ring tightening can be done. They do look good on the seats though, if you're into red and black. They just seem to have a bit of a saggy look.

Mine had a few places where they fit "loose". found out that i needed new cusions. 170.00 installed for all 4 seats.

I don't know the inner workings of leather, and they may not be as tight as some would want, but I like the fit. The back cushion so deteriated that I had to put new Velcro on it because the old ones peeled off. Not to mention the old leather was hard and no where near as soft as the new ones. Either way I love them. I wonder though what the heat does for them. Does it shrink them?

heat will make them expand.
They look very good. cushions collapse over time from use, thats probably why the look slightly loose.

I have read in some books that prefessional upholsteres have special steamers they use to adjust the fit of leather, expand foam, and other uses.
