Lincoln LS Detail

Thats cool and that sucks at the same damn time. I just got mine a few days ago in the mail.

I put on quite the amount of coats now:D

Yup and I got all winter to make it look even better!

Kyle, do you get paid for the advertisement in your signature?

Nope, it's my friends clothing company that's just getting off the ground. He doesn't even know I have it on here. You could possibly get a sponsorship if you wanna put a company in your signature, as long as it abides by forum rules. That would be cool if you could get some detailing products for free.

And here's my most 2 recent acquisitions:

Don't you have the duragloss 105 or 501 as well for the wheels? Let me know how that Lusso is! My Beyond Black is on it's way as well as some Amazing Roll Off..

Yep, see I knew I'd forget something. It's the 501.

I don't know if I'll have a chance to try the Lusso before spring. I just couldn't pass up the great deal I got on it.

I was also looking at a pot of Dodo Juice Rubbish Boy's too. 55 bucks shipped.

Is there anything we really haven't tried that we should? Obviously there are some waxes out there that are just ridiculous in price, but what about other products? We've tried Black Wow for trim, Menzerna for polish(I haven't tried it though, is ff any good?), Klasse and PB EX-P sealant, a variety of waxes, different soaps....

I'm thinking we should mess around with some degreasers, glass cleaners(Zep or Finish Kare), and some undercarriage spray like Megs Hyper Dressing and Bare Bones, and some different applicators. What do you think Pete?

I think Jeff's Werkstatt is on my list too. Trigger is 15 bucks and the rest of the products are relatively cheap.

This is a prime opportunity for all of you discount Pep Boys and Costco microfiber users to hop on the luxury train. One of my friends from detailingbliss.com, Justin, just opened up a new website, TheRagShack.com. He's promoting one of the best quality line of microfibers we've seen so far to date. Very thick, very plush, very soft. The regular all purpose towels are extremely plush compared to the normal run of the mill one, and light years ahead of the discount ones you might have purchased at Costco or some other big chain store. If that wasn't good enough, check out the Shag Rag. This thing is the pinnacle of microfiber towels, good for buffing, polishing, and removing wax.

Here's a few pictures of his lineup and some closeups of the Shag Rag. As you can see, these microfibers are easily a higher quality than the dishrags you are using(and I previously was). Justin is a great guy to work with and being a detailer himself, he knows what he's talking about and won't settle for mediocre. I'll talk to him about a possible discount code. PM me with any questions.

I just got the go from Justin on a discount code for you guys. Enter "micro25" at checkout to receive 25% savings. This brings the total for 10 towels down to 19.50, which is less than two dollars a towel. For this quality, it is an absolute steal.

Guess I'm going to have to buy 10 more towels, dammit. I just bought 20 Uber towels for an excellent deal. Normally 4.99 each. Phil had a buy one, get one sale, and I couldn't pass it up. They are awesome for the paint. Not nearly as plush as those shag rags, but the Ubers remove product so nicely. I only have one real thick buffing towel, and that's teh reTHICKulous towel from detailedimage.com. How do the shag rags compare to the reTHICKulous one, Kyle? I paid 10 dollars for one 16x16 size.

Oh, and about your previous question. Of course, I'm up for trying new products! Especially since they aren't nuba's, it won't break the bank. Give me a list of what you have in mind, andI'll find a few items too. What do you want to limit it to? I like the idea of undercarriage dressings, maybe CG's Fade2Black, since that dries to touch, and might really dress up an engine bay.

I also would really like to try P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner, or the CG's version (which you have to ask for, they don't list it on their site.) I'd like to try P21S TAW too. Have you tried any of these?

I'm down for trying Jeff's Werkstatt Trigger. It's supposed to be great on silver and white and super easy. P21S Gel is great. I feel within the next couple years we'll be making a trip to Germany for the Red kind. I'll let you know how those towels are when I get home today, as well as ARO.

 Well, let's plan it around Oktoberfest :Beer

If you want, we can do a trade on the towels. Do you have any of the Uber ones?

God man, some of the names these people come up with for products gets me. Its like going into Spencers gifts and looking at the novelty t-shirt section.
