Got the LMS MAF installed today, along with the airfilter. At the same time we cured my poor fuel econ by cleaning off the meter itself. It didnt feel all that great when i first put it in, and the mpg was down where it was before mid to low 11's, but i let it sit for a while, and then i drove home...my mpg shot up to 17s and i was floorin it most of the way. I definatly noticed an increase in power, mostly in the low mid+ range. So i pull up at a light next to an Auto LT1 Z28, and i rev at him for :q:q:q:qs, and he nods, and when the light turns its on. We were neck and neck up to 85, where we both let off, i think i had about a tire maybe two on him. It definatly woke her up, and now that my car is runnin right, and has the mods on it now, im very anxious to get to the track. My goal is for 98's 99's, i realy dont care bout the ET's this time.

once again, i am a very satisfied LMS customer. :D

NICE Glad to hear hat Andy.

Ill take you for a rip ride in the Plymouth when the heat dies down, Ill throw on the dealer plates so we won't get in trouble. It;s fun just listening to though isn't it? LOL!!

I can't wait until Thursday now.

How does this part work, what does it do differently than stock?

I was amazed at how much a simple exhaust system changed the nature of the car, I'm considering doing this by the end of the summer as well, but I don't understand how it works or how it benefits the car.

All the info is right here. On sale too!

Yo geno, Im thinkin about taking this stock maf housing from the junkyard and trying to separate the sample tube from it and put it in my C&L unit. Then, Im going to drill to holes and tap them in order to mount it with the 2 allen head screws. Good idea or a waste of time? I got it for free...

Hey Geno,

any word on the icebox yet? i know the last time you said you were out of them. I want to get one along with the MAF

i got the LMS MAF on my 94 mark and it took a good solid 4 tenths of my ets and a noticeable increase in power. all i got is a shift kit and the LMS MAF and i am running 14.60's. its a damn good buy i recommend it fully. ordering assassin mufflers from LMS friday, that will really reap the full benifits of the LMS MAF.

definatly also a very satisfied customer

How would taking a vertical sample tube from a stock maf and laying it down in a smooth bore unit work? The air would be hitting a solid area with no place for the electronics to sample?

Its horizontal to begin with, and then turns vertical. Im talking about removing the horizontal piece. I already used and hack saw and got rid of the sqaure mounting part that you would use to bolt it up the the air box with. It looks like a regular unit. Now, I can put a filter on one end and stick the other into the throttle body tube.

Why not just call me up and order the proper sized balance tube?

No apologies needed, not a problem. Whenever your ready!! Thanks for the interest and the support. The maf kit is $10.00 off on sale so it's $279.00.

Having a Mark VIII without the LMS MAF and Icebox is like not brushing your teeth. You're just missing out.

Worthwhile purchase, and another satisfied customer here.

Geno, I have a LMS MAF on my 94 that I got from Scott (not installed yet). I will want the Ice Box.

Let me know when they come in.

I will pm you for sure. You can install it now then add the Icebox later, your missin' out Rich. They are not reliant on each other.

I don't have the 94 home yet, it's still at Mike's (94m5). What is the size of the opening. Scott didn't have the K&N filter with the MAF so I still need to pick one up.

Im pretty sure you would need a 4" inlet filter.
