Fla02LS said:Ah yes, the great American way also at work getting the price from $399 to $250. I still think $250 is too high for an unpainted spoiler. If some guy has 80 of these then i'd say he's way overstocked. I think even at a really low price you'd have a hard time selling all 80 pcs in a decent amount of time. I think the fact that its a discontinued car would also drive the price a little lower. If enough people can show interest and get the price lower than $250 then i too would consider one, i'll say $199 is the magic number if 20+ people were able to buy. I have wanted one of these for a long time but lately have been convinced that the M3 spoiler painted for $60 is a great addition to the LS's rear deck.
The old "Supply and Demand" Economics 101 class huh?TeamFord said:You have to remember that the spoiler was $353.49 when it was available. This guy bought all the left over stock from somewhere and was holding them hostage. But I think he wants to move them, like you said, The reason for the $399 price at first was my cost of the item. When I told him I would by a bunch he made me the deal.
You know how it works, you always get a break, from any company, the more you buy from them.
No one is telling you have to buy the spoiler, but $250 is reasonable for any car. When a car goes out of production and parts become harder to find, the price always goes up, no down. Just look at paintings and classic cars. They always increase when the availability is not there any more.

Tony,
That is the original LSE spoiler on my car. The spoiler is approximately 6" wide.
