Mark VIII Diesel conversion

have you ever considered just walking?

every time i see an Ed Hall post i know its going to be sofa king we todd did

yep. too many people assume their O2's work fine cuz there is no light. this is not the case.

Very true. Put the car on a scanner and see how slow a 50k+ O2 is vs a new one. Car is constantly chasing a lean condition that only partially existed 2 seconds ago. :lol: Followed by wondering why it stayed rich for so long. New O2s are almost 3 times faster then old ones that are still working.

When I cleaned the throttle blades, I also inspected the MAF sensor and it appeared squeaky clean.

Other than price, is there a difference between a Mototorcraft O2 sensor and a Denso? Or should I get an AC Delco?
 
You sure can get 40 maybe even 1,000,000 miles per gallon with your mark! All you have to do is pull the engine,tranny,rear,interior out, then cut 2 holes in floors for your legs and poof! Can you say "yabba dabba dooooooo"

i got 30 mpg on my way back from buying my parts car tonight, soo sumtin aint right with your car, and no green slime WILL NOT fix your 02 sensors.

there now that the shock has warn off, i swear, every time i read any one of this guys threads, I am even more positive than the last time that this dude is just F#@%ing with you guys. what is going on in his to even think up these thing. no normal person would have ever asked any of his questions or even thought that any of them was an exercise in using good/safe/well though out/practical decision making.

we have some of own geniuses on our side. but come the hell on here guys, there is no way that Ed is serious on any of the ludicrous ideals he has come up with. there can only be two real options here, either Ed is sitting in a room of guys just brainstorming the hell out of way to come up with the worse epic fail kinda things to say or drugs have something to do with it because anytime ive heard sh!t this carzy be said was by somebody that was on WAYYYY to many drugs!

for instance, there is no way that this guy is not on some crazy sh!t

Yeah I was warned away from the Bosch on my Mark too.
Also my MAF looks clean as new but I had a hickup at idle. Instead of O2's I cleaned the MAF and now it's sooth as silk again.

Also I really don't think a Straight Six will fit under the hood of a height challenged Mark's engine compartment but hey we had a guy here a few months ago that was gonna do a Benz swap in one :rolleyes:
