I'm sure you could find one in south florida for less than that, maybe with higher mileage but i'm sure you could find one for half that price with 80-100k miles tops.

its probobly the same one. im not even considering buying it, just passing info. its off powerline just north of commercialby the old discount auto.you live nearby?

I live at Commercial and University. That's not the one I was talking about. I will be around in January and my friends Elliot (wickedwhiteviii) and Alex (ultimate svt) would like to meet up. We have a good cheap mechanic in Miramar if interested. He works on all our Marks and knows the cars inside out!

:slamNo. In '92 they made a 5.0L Mark VII (as in SEVEN or 7). And even then it wasn't a true 5.0L, it was a 4.9 liter (4" bore, 3" stroke, 301.6 cubic inches or 4,946cc). Ford was optimistic with their displacement measurements back then. And it was the old Windsor pushrod 302 block. The new DOHC 5.0L V-8 is actually 302 cubes and thus a "true" 5.0 liter V-8. Anyway, sorry for the derail. Just had to respond. :)
302 is not equal to 5.0, its still 4.9 since 1 litre = 61 cubic inches. 306 is a "true" 5.0

Is it gonna come complete? Or are you gonna need the accessories and harness, etc...?

supposed to be complete, running i believe that my old harness will be used, but ill have it late tomorrow or early thurs. sombody told me that sometimes they clip the harnesses when the yank the motor. anybody know the factory top speed limiter (limit) in the 98? trying to write a new tune on programmer, and i cant get rid of it completely and my choice is 120 or 130 or how do i get rid of it completely?

I'm interested, what kind of labor rate or does he just do flat rate jobs?

302 is not equal to 5.0, its still 4.9 since 1 litre = 61 cubic inches. 306 is a "true" 5.0

That's what I said. The old 302 is actually a 301.6 cubic inch engine rounded up. That equals out to about 4,946cc. That rounds out to 4.9 liters. The new Coyote V-8 is actually 302 cubes. That equals out to about 4,953cc. That's only 47cc shy of 5,000. So it rounds up to 5.0 liters. A 306 would be 5,018cc. That is almost "exactly" 5 liters. But a 305 is 5,002cc. That is just about as close to a "true" 5 liter as you're gonna get. However, liter displacement is not as accurate as cubic inches. Anything from a 302 to a 307 (5,035cc) is a "5.0L" engine. When you hit 308cid, it's 5,051cc. That rounds up to 5.1 liters. A good example of this is the Cadillac Northstar V-8 and Ford/Lincoln Modular V-8. Both are 4.6 liters, but the Cadillac is 279cid while the Lincoln is 281cid. the Caddy is 4,576cc and the Lincoln is 4,608cc. That's one reason I don't care for using the metric system to measure engine displacement. It's dismally inaccurate.
