Well, this is my first thread!
So I'm going to use this thread as a way to track the progress of my car, and for others to provide input and so on... :D

For starters, its an 04 v6 premium. With 90,xxx right now. Its a previous 1 owner vehicle and the older couple that had it before me left the interior in absolutely immaculate condition!:hump:

What I have on the menu for this car right now:
- 2 Rockford Fosgate Prime 12s and a Rockford Fosgate 500w Mono amp. (budget system, I know I know) all with the stock HU and LOC
- iPod integration (iSimple TranzIt)
- Color matched LSE grille
- 35w 5000k HID's and possibly some angel eyes while I'm in there;)
- Eventually going to look into a full exterior LED conversion
- :confused:haha

So lets start out with some pics:D

1) My first day with it. Sitting on the lot waiting for me to sign the papers.

2) The first of MANY car washes

3) Just got the windows tinted last Friday 35% front side (to stay legal:() and 15% on the rest

4) Had to stop and take a pic. Last week walking into Walmart. I spotted the chrome wheel surrounds from a mile away. I nearly lost my lunch. But hey! To each his own! Haha

Thank you sir! Well, I'm a poor college kid at the moment. Just trying to bring her up to date with simple things like ipod, led's and HID's. Nothing TOO extreme or expensive.... yet!

All over the curb! Lol. Nice ls and list of future mods.
Thanks! Ive had a love for your car since the day i joined here :D haha

Nice Ride! Dont forget to save some cash for repairs too. At 90k miles there's probly some issue that are going to start showing up

Agreed. About $200 for coil on plug replacements will help start. Great looking LS. That would be a good start. You can get an intake for about the same price.

Well as it just so happens my dad wasn't gonna let me buy a car without a warranty so I bought the car and he bought a 3year 36,000 mile full warranty from the Lincoln dealer. So I'm set :) for a while at least!

Thanks. Means a lot to read that. Cuz i dont see it as something nice all the time. Yet, people tell me "that dont even look like a lincoln, i thought it was a bmw" lol

It's the rims. I like the clean sense of your ride anyways. I'm more of a flat black satin clear guy. Old school I guess, but your car is in great paint shape. Love it.

I assume you go Mizzou?

Are you origimally from Columbia?

Big LS meet in STL June 8th-10th.

Welcome!

Nice ride once you cleaned it up.

x2 on the curbs... No reason for that crap son!

I would ditch those wheels ASAP, those are my second most hated next to the fail steel ones on gen1s.

Thanks all!

Surprisingly there's about half an inch of clearance there! Gotta keep telling myself that im not driving my Ford Ranger anymore or its gonna be a screwed up bumper for me!

Yep! Currently studying Atmospheric Sci here.
I'm actually from Boonville which is 20min west of Columbia.

And I've been kicking myself in the aaaaa about letting the gf plan our vacation this year. More than likely gonna be in NOLA during that weekend. Working around work schedules. But if something comes up, my roommates are from STL and can stay in the area no prob, so i wouldnt be needing a hotel. Hell. Even if nothing significant is done to my car by that time I'd be more than happy to go and meet the awesome people behind their cars! Cause hey thats what this is all about right?:D

Thanks! And don't worry rims are number 1 on my list of expensive mods. Haha way toooo much chrome if you ask me. The fact that the rims are tiny as hell and ive got quite the wheel gap reminds me of a 4x4. Haha.

Oh and lowering this baby after rims is gonna be a must.

nice ride man drop it with some wheels once you get the chance and ull be set im hoping to drop mine this summer lol

..........fail steel ones on gen1s.

No LS ever came with steel wheels. The 1st gen 16" wheels were the lightest LS wheels available. They were forged aluminum.

I guess the "doughnut" was steel......

So i just bought my Rockford Fosgate system today and a Line Out Converter. Will hopefully be installing it this weekend with pics! :D

Had a quick question about running the remote though! Ive done a fair bit of searching. But for the few of you who kept EVERYTHING in the trunk... Which fuse did you tap into for the remote wire? I was thinking I might do what NYC LS8 did and tap into Diode 2 for the fuel pump, but I'm still up in the air.

Ah, well the ones that look like the circle wheels on old cassette tapes.

To activate the amp and keep the accessory retained power you will need one of these.

I just tapped into one of the speaker wires.

hey! a como guy. i've been to that walmart.
i'm from jcmo and go to school in rolla.
nice to see a more local guy on here. :W

Is that a pop stopper? Or whatever theyre called?

No, it's a speaker level input to turn on the amp. That way the amp will be powered as long as the speakers are energized. The LS uses a negative trigger so all the positive sides of the fuses are constantly energized.

It's called a speaker level converter.

"COPs gone bad? I found a really nice set on ebay for $50 with a lifetime warranty"
