OMG guys. Calm down. Damn!:mad: OK, here's the deal, I had a couple of paint and body buddies look at the car today, and they are both certain that she can be repaired. I am inclined to think so as well. I will know for sure when engine is removed again, and the integrity of the walls are checked. So there may be hope left. She will spend some time in the burn unit though. Just at a glimpse, I know I'm going to need a complete engine of course, coolant bottle, radiator fan, radiator, air box, air tube, windshield, windshield cowling. So I'm not going to make any rush decisions yet.
 
THAT certainly was entertaining. Wasn`t talking about the fire either, Good Luck with it if you decide to repair it.

Sorry to hear that GMAN, I was looking at your thread the other day and thinking I would cry if something happened to my Mark, and wouldn't ya know it....BAM, something happened. If you decide NOT to fix it, let me know cause you got what I need LOL.....as seen in my thread entitled "Bad drive to work..."

Jamie's been spot on with all the things he said were wrong with my car....I don't really see the need to bash him. He just didn't want Gman lead in the wrong direction, no need to get all personal.

Gman I feel for ya bud. Sucks you had to go through it!
 
Yo good friend ... if there is anything from my 93 engine bay you may need that could work on a Gen II let me know .... shortly body goes to the bone yard on Monday.
 
i wish my brother in law had not cut the harness in the 97 in my shop now. i could have helped you out with the whole front end harness from the driverside of the firewall all the way around the front of the car to the pass side firewall. i have so much i could help you with but the shipping is what wrecks any deal i could make for someone, i have all these parts sitting doing nothing now because shipping things has killed us, no one wants to pay for shipping, and we dont mark up anything with shipping. i should just buy a van and start home delivery for a fee!
 
As I said before GMAN, I have a complete uncut harness from the 97.
 
Guys, I appreciate all to good gestures, more than you know. I just left the car, and I had some time to REALLY look it over and access the damage. The damage is really bad in there, and after I did a little bit of math in my head, The price was going to be more than $2000.00. So better to start with a new canvas and build upon that. So I started taking off all of the good stuff. I took out the back seats, rear neon, and my Navi Radio. I even took out my wood shifter, and replaced it with the regular black one. So guys thanks for all the offers, but I am just going to start over. My mechanic is going to keep the motor for his project, he's going to save the tranny for me.

Incidentally, the cause was the brake fluid.
