Okay, I had a Power TB and EGR. I thought it was a great looking peice. Which it was. Intall I got my Edelbrock TB. Damn, this TB just blows it out of the water. The finish and the fit of the other peices on the TB. Are just great. I spent close to $200 shipped for my Power TB/EGR. It was a great deal. I ended up paying $200 for just this TB. Because I wanted a known name. I was also looking to see if a brand name/higher priced had more quality.

In the bubble wrap. I could notice it. It is very true. You get what you pay for. And these past installs/moodifications. Are top quality!

I also bought a Cobra Manifold to go with this 70mm Edelbrck TB. The reason I got the 70mm TB is because this is the FMS Cobra Manifold w/ the 70mm tb opening. Is there anything else different to this manifold from the oem? Why is this one have a 70 opening instead of the 65?

Because it was probably ported for a bigger throttle body.

It's brand spankin new. Sealed up and everything! It also has a Ford Racing decal on top of the TB opening. By the Cobra Logo. (Same type of metal) Which I thought wasn't there from any of the cobra manifolds I had seen. I wanted a 65mm opening. But when it came. I measured it and it was 70mm.

Why exactly did you get a TB? 200 down the :q:q:q:qter...

Sif, I'm sure you feel this thing helped you but I can assure you that it did not. You would need somewhere around 650HP before you would really start to NEED a TB this big. With all your mods you maybe put 210-220 to the ground.

The Cobra manifold is for the looks. It just happened to be a 70mm unit. Which I thought they came in a 65mm tb opening. So, im rolling with it. Who said these will be my only mods. Maybe its a key to the future. So, hold your horses or lose them in my case. . .

Wow man, with all the moolah you have put into that car, you could have had some wicked heads. But NO, you buy some other crap, if we raced, the only reason you would beat me is because you have those 3.73s. If I had your money, I'd have twisted wedge heads right now

Ohh, my 3.73 is whats going to take you. How about the 150 shot of nitrous. Even with your heads and the cheap explorer intake. I would still take your a$$ to school. Im willing to lay it down anywhere.

I strive to take the different route. I don't fallow anybody. I do it my way. If we all did it one way we all know where everyone would stand. If I had your money, yada yada. What the hell is that. . .

So you are resorting to nitrous to beat my STOCK Mark VII? I don't have the heads and intake on there yet Butt-dumpling, learn how to read. With the 150 shot and all your major bolt ons, hmm, I can see your car pushing 400hp with the nitrous! hmmm... You are the type like my friend, bigger is better, i can just about bet if the mk7 came carbed, you would have gotten a better flowing intake and an 850 carb. Have you even considered swapping to 24 or 30lb injectors yet? I mean I bet I could take ya now if i did a 3.73 swap if we ran motor vs motor, cuz my car's airflow and exhaust specs are better suited for a car thats in my horsepower range, I have all 2.25 exhaust from my headers back, not 2.5 like you do, you more than likely lost low end torque with that bigger exhaust. I am still using stock headers because they were made for the E7 headflow perfectly, once again, you more than likely lost some more low end. and even though i have a stock TB, it is better suited because it lets in the right amount of airflow for the car, whoa, a 70mm throttle body, EVEN MORE LOSS! The day you post a real time slip from a real drag strip or a REAL dyno sheet may be the day I start to take you seriously.

You know sometimes its not all about the timeslip or what ever. Im in this becoz I love my M7. I loved it stock. Now I did this to clean up the image and make it better looking in my eyes. I know there hasn't been no power loss or torque. The seat of my pants does it for me. This isn't a race car. I dont plan to race it every weekend. It is my fun/weekend car. In my post did I even mention power gains? Maybe with the nitrous kit. But did I say this and that. No. . .

Everyone keeps saying this and that. I don't want what you guys want. I really don't care for the time slip. Well, I care. Just to get some of you fu cks off my back. You know what. I almost bought some used cobra heads. I miss read the ending bid. So, I don't plan now. I plan for the future. I am not buying parts over and over again of the same thing. Just becoz my engine would be better off. You say I got all this money. I just have a plan. Intall one of you come and talks sh it. I am not in it for this. . .

So you don't like to follow everyone, so you buy sh it that won't help your car? Douche...

What's your problem? The guy is excited to share some new parts for his ride and you have to knock everything he says, what gives? If you got some personal issues don't bring them around here. Being playful is one thing but your being rude. Is everything wrong because you don't agree with it?

Jibit - We've tried to help him on various occasions to get the right parts for his car, so he can actually get the best performance for his money. This goes way back. It's one thing to "forge your own path". It's another to deny the laws of physics and buy parts that don't help or even slow you down. Nitrous was a step in the right direction. That Jetchip, throttle body and intake are not.

Nitrous was a GOOD step in the right direction, now just need some heads to make all his other components useful.

All I'm saying is don't knock the guy for trying. There's no need to be rude over the subject because the guys is proud about some new stuff he bought. If its a personal matter, don't bring it to the board. No need to discuss dirty laundry over the board and then let people like me get half the story and start judging others from it........Can't we all just get along (couldn't resist that one).

I don't care what you guys think. I will do what I want to do. I post st it up. You and your momma write back. Why don't you guys post up. Im the only one not scared to do so or what. It is rude for all of you to bang my sh it like im a biatch. I know different is hard for alot of you. But get over it. It isn't your way is the right way. If we did the same things. We all know what we are getting into. Its a big world out there. . .

Sif, it's not different, it's the laws of physics. They don't change because you want them to or because you spent a lot on a throttle body. You can't deny that putting that throttle body on your car did less than nothing. There is a reason most people do the same things to their cars, because there is pretty much only one good way to build up an engine. You chose to do it backwards. Fine, but don't call us bitches because we tried so many times to help you not make a costly mistake. Do you seriously think you somehow know more than everyone telling you that you were not getting good parts?

Look, it's fine you got a 70mm throttlebody, but you seriously need to be producing about three times the HP you currently are to even use it to the point that it won't cause torque loss. So keep it to the side, get another short block, and build up a good, stout 600HP engine. You can do it in about 4-5 months at the rate you seem to be able to buy parts. There *IS* a right way and a wrong way to do engine building. Many, many, many people have done it before you were even alive Sif, you should listen to them. But instead you go off and say you will do what you want to. It's your money, but then when you start crowing about it, don't be surprised when people tell you that you've wasted your money. This is all I'm saying on this subject, Sifrino. If you can't get it now, then I've done all I can for you.

I have never asked for help. Unless it was seeing if parts fit. Why buy a 65mm now. When I will need a 70mm in the future. You will spend twice the money you need to. . . I like the help. I get it the first time. Im looking to get another M7 and I promise it will be built your way. Becoz the motor will be stock. So, 65mm tb and 2.25 xhaust. Sounds perfect doesn't it. . . Ram air system and will look stock. That is what im going for. STOCK! I have a guy with a 92' but I want a 88'!

Guys -- please............ Im not gonna ask again.

TONE IT DOWN.

There is no reason for name calling or anything like that.

Be cool abot things.
