Rims are a little overly stated for my taste. But as others have said many times, you mod your car to your taste.

I don't like those after market wheels at all! But hey, whatever 'floats your boat' :)

Are those the bumper lens from that guy on E-Bay?

OK anything over 6k as far as lighting goes in my opinion is gay and brings about the term attention whore since the only function is just that, attention. They don't produce good amounts of light at all and I know cause I have been in a few cars recently with them and been next to some to see how far the output reaches.

( don't take offense to any of my opinions please )

Those wheels, if you didn't buy them yet I would just save the cash.

Sooner or later you will see something that is a bit more expensive and will end up just short and would have wish you didn't spend that 200$ difference on those. That is a cheap price but I can guess that there is a reason for it.

You sound like a great dude that can take criticism given the comments made about those tips so good luck in your endeavor and just remember the age old saying about ass holes and opinions.

hey guys yeah thanks for the opinons well yeah i ordered the 6500k lights and the idot on ebay sent me the 10000k ones so i was like w.e i just put them in and as for the sidemarkers JWerner yes i got those from ebay also i ordered clear but they look smoke to me but idk i cleared the lenses my self(not as hard as it seems for the people who are afraid to open there headlight)

those rims are cheap and all but i think im str8 on them i actually have been looking at these rims for a while and i think ima say screw the money and get them

They do kinda look pretty light to me. I don't dig the flat out black or dark smoked look but those look very light. I don't even like the clear, I just like the right level of smoke. You can tell they are smoke thats for sure.

Anyway, opening the headlight is easy if you have the grey glue., It is bit more harder with the regular black glue but its been done. If its done with the Second Gen headlights it can be done with the first gen.

How did you clear the bumper lens more? Did you take those apart also? I just took mine apart the other day. I never got around to getting a dremal so I just used a Mini Hack.

I usualy dont like tacky wheels like the ones in the link but I think those are A ok, way better than the ones in the pic thats for sure. I would like those a lot in 19".

Im confused.

You cleared the turnsignal lens and let the bumper lens as is?

Im confused.

i cleared the turnsignal (by removing it) and the bumper lens i ordered it from ebay and i just put it in i was saying it looks to dark i dident do anything to it

OK at first it sounded like since you wanted a clear bumper lens you worked with it and made it look more clear instead of smoke like you got.

Keep looking around for rims...those are ugly. I like the HID's and the cleared out front end. I need to open my headlights and take out that orange piece. I personally like the 10k hid's and the 12k's. I like the color output that they have over the 6k's and 8k's. When you have HID headlights and foglights then the light output is bright no matter what Kelvin the lights are. I have the 12k's in my car and I am about to smoke out my headlights and foglights and I like it will still be brighter than stock. Glad you took off those tips...they were really hurting the appearance of your car. You will find the right rims for the right price if you just keep looking around. Good luck

thanks man and im planning on getting 2 more hid kits one of them i wanna make it like 8000k and replace the ones i have now and the ones i have now i wanna put them as my high beams and i want to order a 12k set for my fog lights:cool:

last thing i need for my front end is my grille and im workin on it but i dont have much time on my hands

It don't matter if you have HID's or not. That high of a Kelvin rating is still going to reduce a lot of clarity and look terrible. Whats the point of having high intensity discharge lighting if it is still constricting its purpose?

May as well stay with standard bulbs in that Kelvin.

I have been in cars with HID's and high K's and it still does not reach that far down the road and it distorts the contrats between shadows and actual objects. Those Kelvin ratings are dangerous trust me. They may pass legally in some states but have fun with insurance when something bad happens.

I also use high wattage/high out put lights in many other applications such as power compacts, metal halide and VHO's and I will tell you even with lights at higher wattage and higher discharge than HID headlights the amount of visibility is low and must be accompanied by another lighting source of a lower kelvin to enhance visibility.

I'd save yer money and buy the valve cover gaskets and coils that you'll be replacing soon as an LS owner!:D

Nice car, I like all but the wheels - just m.h.o.

Is the car dark green and is that a stock color? Looks good fosho.

Sorry but you must be dealing with some junk a$$ HID kits because I have never had any problem with my distorting images like you say. In fact my friend has the same HID kit I have just in 8k's and they are not near as bright as my 12k's so I don't know where you get you information. How about you get HID's on your car first before you tell someone else to use JUNK OLD high wattage halogen bulbs. I have never had a problem with the cops or my insurance agency so I have no idea what you are talking about. If they are D.O.T. appoved then there is nothing that anyone can do even if something should happen(like an accident).

SlickLS, I dont' think it's DOT approved to put HID's into halogen reflector housings.
