Looking good bull!

So anyone on here going to install these and decide to part ways with their eibachs? lol

We have them around here too. I've seen people turn left into them......

That had to have been a sight to see. Roundabouts are more fun in a car that can actually haul ass through, I mean, around them.

Too low for my taste but still looks good. Great pictures as always.

A few have recently popped up by my work and 2 of them have really low centers. I Just go strait across them :shifty:

Photoshop request. Would someone please replace the Charger in the Dukes of Hazard with an LS during one of the jump scenes? :) I need a visual of what the above would look like haha.

Kudos to you Bull for actually going through with this, Looks amazing!!

roundabouts started in Europe, England doesn't have many stoplights instead they have the roundabouts.

I think I do my most cussing during the day waiting in line at the roundabout.

Pektel, you should try it with a tractor & 53' trailer.
it's a lot of fun as we can not help it but put inside trailer wheels on the inside curb. ((which most (in the smaller ones) are flat for this purpose))

double lane roundabout ofcourse gives more room but still trailing the inside lanes.

... and yes, one must yield to those already in the roundabout.
fricken near impossible when I come through with 72+ feet of commercial equipment.

and now for the funny,

Looks great Bull. Having fun driving it?

Hasn't been to bad. I have received some feedback from some outsiders who frequently get rides in my car, they all have said the same thing. "The ride is terrible and uncomfortable now. Very bouncy". Guess I need to turn down the dampening again

All you need now bull is the STR brakes...

Honestly I'm done buying stuff for it now. I don't see the point in buying anything else really. I'm just going to try and enjoy it and hope it keeps my interest long enough to want to keep it for the long haul.

Beautiful!

Really need to get a photoshoot of this quality together for a large LS meet. I want to be there!!

Hopefully next year we can have a much better gathering of LS guys somewhere in the US and I can make it!

Kudos to you Bull for actually going through with this, Looks amazing!!

I'm glad someone actually went through with it. For the amount of people who said they wanted these I would have expected more to buy them by now :(

It's pretty impractical and silly, but that's half of the reason why I like it :p

I have weird tastes.

To echo what a couple others have said. They are 19x8 et38. To run RR wheels you need special custom hub/wheel centric adapters to change the PCD.

Can you also tell me your tire size your running? I want to use an offset calc. to compare mine and your wheel/tire sizes and see how close I am to you.. i really don't want to have to buy new wheels before I get these, and yours look like they fit nicely..

Bull,
if i didn't know any better, i would say that thing is at least a 2010/2011

just clean and beautiful.

This wins for my favorite modded LS on the site. Amazing job the stance is perfect on that car!

Did you pre-load the springs? Usually that's what causes the bounciness. You should be able to almost spin the spring by hand. After you've got that done go full soft dampening (or as soft as will save your fenders from the wheel) and go 2-3 stiffer until its too stiff and back off 1-2.

I left the springs as is. The problem I have is that if I didn't make them pretty stiff I'm afraid I could lose a fender in a dip or bump. The way it is now I have some minor rubbing so if I want to go lower I should probably remove the fender liners and play with the inner lips more

Yep, I've seen many truck/trailers go through (one of them is at the entrance to an industrial park). And the "island" (what do you call the center of the roundabout anyways?) has about 8' of cobblestone for them to make it around. I play nicely with them. I HATE watching someone cut off a semi in the roundabout. I think of the kitchen cabinets/fragile whatevers in the back smashing around if they have to stomp the brakes in there.

And without even clicking the youtube link:

"Hey look kids! It's Big Ben! Parliament!"

Probably the best photos yet, now when can I expect that video we talked about previously???

Enjoy the photos everyone. It's getting raised up and I will be possibly selling the coilovers if someone wants them. (No sarcasm)

As I stated earlier the camber is way out of whack. The subframe can't be modified like I was told last week to even get it close. So I'm F'd

I started to send him a message asking if he had, or would make, a video of the car in motion, but my phone died yesterday, then i didnt remember to ask lol

Bullschmidt >> By looking at the pictures you posted, I highly doubt that you're rubbing your actual fender. It's most likely the fender lining that's inside.

For adjusting the dampers, don't start out at full stiff. Start at full stiff or soft than turn back 8 clicks, this is your "0" setting. Each click makes a difference so you can go 1-2 clicks +or- each time until you get the desired ride quality. For street compliance, I would recommend 4-8 clicks from soft, for more sporty ride, 6-10 clicks from soft.

You should not be using the damper adjustment to control how much rubbing there is.

Car looks great!

Cheers!

I had to roll the inner lip on part of the rear fender and also the fronts. Some of the rubbing was also on the fender liner.

All this is moot. I just picked it back up from the shop and I just wasted money having them raise the car back up to get it within alignment specs. I am at a shade lower then OEM height and higher then my old Eibach setup right now and it looks extremely stupid in my eyes. Looks like a 4x4

Unless someone finds a company which will make adjustable upper A-Arms (Called 3 today to ask. Nobody is going to want to make something for a dead platform with no enthusiast market) then basically stuck between a rock and a hard place with the camber issue.

This is not good at all. Now you have me thinking if I know of any custom shops within distance who could do the work. I take it Stance does not have a recommendation of who they could use some influence toward?

They do make some custom suspension parts but at this time they don't offer any Upper A-Arms. No dice.

Any of us who have eibachs, sprints, canucks etc all will have some camber issues. Nothing would ever be perfect, and I realize that. That's the way it is with most lowered cars. I just was hoping the camber wasn't going to be this bad, and that the shop would have been more willing to try some steps to fix it with some fab work. It just wasn't the case.

I'm left with 3 options. Buy tires every year and keep it low. Keep it basically OEM height and not have any problems. Or hope that I can find someone who wants to make adjustable upper arms so I can have full camber adjustment and do whatever I want.

So far I called SPC (They want a minumum of 100 orders before they manufactor) Spohn Performance and Megan Racing. Spohn and Megan said they would get back to me, not very confident on either.

Damn. This project is too special to have it go bad this close to the finish line. Not being funny but what about an off road company? They usually do a lot of custom work.

Why would you need a modified upper A arm? A new steering knuckle looks to be the way to lower your car and maintain suspension geometry. And, the same steering knuckle that fits the LS also fits the 2002-2005 Thunderchicken and the 2000 - 2008 Jaguar S-type so you might look to see if anyone makes a lowering kit for either of these cars. If so it should work on the LS as well. If you know anyone with a CNC machine, take them a set of steering knuckles and have them move the part the large round hole is in however much higher you want the drop to be. This will bolt the wheel higher on the control arm which will set the car lower to the ground. The only negative is you will have to have wheels that will clear.

If you don't care how it looks, you can have someone that can weld aluminum take an inch or two out of the top of the long part and install a spacer at the bottom. You'll also need to make sure the steering rack attachment point is at the same spot it is now to avoid bump steer so it will need to be lowered the same amount as the other parts.

No one makes a modified knuckle, not to mention, custom CNC work (you can't just elongate the hole on a cast aluminum piece) is considerably more expensive
Than having custom tubular steel upper arms built.

To do a modified knuckle, you'd have to have someone cut a new knuckle out of solid aluminum. Unless you find someone who has the OEM molds and is willing to modify them, and that company would then have to cast entirely new pieces.
