oil $$$

I still buy my oil at Advanced Auto... I pay a little more but I don't do the long lines + the Walmart closest to home is about 11 miles away. Advanced Auto is 7 blocks away. It's much more convenient.

As for what's going on economically? We're fvcked no matter how you look at it. These corporate @ssholes will continue to support overseas imported items because it's to their convenience. Unless the entire nation as a whole does something about it, this will be the way of life. Sad but true.

Speaking of prices (and off the subject a bit), I just filled up the Cougar with 89 octane for $3.53 a gallon at the Exxon in Olmstead Village. Regular was $3.39 and premium was $3.98:eek: That's 45 cents more than the mid-grade!!!! What the fvck?!?!?! Regular is going down slightly, but they're gonna make a freakin' killing on premium. It's ridiculous!

Paid $4.19 for mid range,in my truck. Reg going for $3.75. I'm in New England---Connetaxx

A station by me is like that, premium is always .35-.45 more than regular.

I filled my Mark last Monday and I paid $3.19 for premium. BTW, it wasn't WalMart and I hate them.....

SCORE!

3.09 for regular, 3.39 for premium.
just dropped ten cents so i bought some.
12 mpg FTW!

Premium here is $3.39...

I hate you...:p

 Holy price gouging Batman!!

I filled the Mark on Monday and it was $3.63 for premium. BTW I love Wal Mart.

That same Exxon that had reg for $3.39 and premium for $3.98 a couple of days ago had premium for $3.69 this morning. Go figure...

Dangit some more...

I remember when diesel was cheaper.

Me too. I also remember when you could fill up your car and watch the gallon meter go up faster than the dollar meter. $15 bucks would fill up the 20 gal tank in my '69 Cougar back in those days...:(

Cheap gas = good, but there useing winter blend now and my car gets 2 less MPG. Stupid corn!!!

My normal 11-12gal fillups are now 12.5-13.5gal. Haven't calculated my mileage since it's gotten cold out but my trip computer says i'm about .3-.5 less mpg so far. It tends to get worse as the season continues.

Gas was .69 for reg, .79 for mid, and .89 for premium when I started driving:( I started getting worried when regular started inching closer to one buck a gallon! Now we consider $3 a gallon cheap?!?!? What is wrong with this picture?

If you think 3 bucks is bad go up north or across the pond.

The reason I've been paying $3.19 for premium is because the price of regular unleaded is $3.29. On "Mad Mondays", the price is 10 cents cheaper - $3.19 / gallon.

Well, because it's cheap, everybody fills up there and if you go in the afternoon, they have usually run out of the regular; then they sell the Premium for the same price.

So I go in the late afternoon every Monday and fill up! lol

When I started driving in 1984, here are the prices of a few things.

Cost of a first-class stamp: $0.20 Cost of a gallon of regular gas: $1.21 Cost of a dozen eggs: $1.01 Cost of a gallon of Milk: $2.26

It's all Wal-Marts fault!! :D

thaywood, you can always drive on over here and fill up. Kroger Grocery store still has 93 octane at $3.39. Wal-Mart has it at the same price but all they carry for premium is 91 so, I don't get gas at Wal-Mart / Murphy's or whoever owns it.

Next time I get gas, I'm going to pump #10 again at Phillips 66 because they are the only ones that have 93 ethanol free around me and only in one pump. Seems like it's about $4.09

I don't always use gas with ethanol but can't always buy ethanol free either. I do always run 93 though, no matter what.

In the past 5 years, gas prices have been as high as $4.12 June of 2008 & low as $1.61 in December of 2008.

You're a tad older than I am. But gas used to be super cheap around here 20-odd years ago until one family claimed a monopoly on the Quik-Cheks. Then gas prices went through the roof. Now the farther away from Montgomery county you go, the cheaper the gas it. It's $3.12 in Albemerle and last I heard, $3.02 in Asheboro. It's $3.53 in Candor and $3.39 in Southern Pines (near where I live). The price fluctuation and variation is absolutely mind boggling. Oh, BTW, a gallon of milk at my local wally world is $4.23!!! I can go to Lowe's Foods and get it for $3.29:eek: So much for wal-mart's "low" prices:lol:

Yeah I know. It's like $6 or $7 bucks a gallon in Europe. That's nuts! That's why diesels are so popular over there.

I am paying about $4.20 a US gal for 93 octane up here in the great white north.

Regular is $3.23 by me. Also, European gas is measured in Imperial gallons. That's somewhat larger than the US gallon.
