oil $$$

It's been my observation that Shell stations are usually 20-30 cents higher per gallon, but there's one here about a mile away from my house that was at $2.99 a gallon last night for regular.

I filled up at $3.29 for 93 octane.

I think it's because there's a Kroger gas station right next door that's always cheap. I think their close proximity forces Shell to price-match to stay competitive...

Boy am I old. We used to drive two towns away for gas. It was .17 a gallon and they gave green stamps. If USA would start using the oil we have in the ground, gas would be around $1.50 Just a few stations use gas made from Amercian oil, and they tax the daylights out of it.
