18 X 8 / Lug pattern 5 X 108 Black Chrome 45mm offset. Would that offset even work?

Not sure. I know I needed a 3 or 5 spacer on my old 19x8.5's w/ a 46 offset to clear the spindle. You'd prob have the same issue you had w/ those old Jag wheels.

Good looking wheel though.

Yeah, I like them but don't wanna deal with any spacers. I just want them to fit. Just browsing anyway and I'm glad you brought up those Jag wheels. I need to get them on CL and gett'em sold. They're in the corner of the garage and I never pay any attention to them stacked over there.

I'm not interested in a wheel that shows off too much of the brakes because I'm not getting involved with any brake mods. My car stops just fine with what I have. Ceramic pads are holding up very well for two years and have plenty of pad left but I also don't put it on the street daily either.

I want lip (2 to 3") on the next wheel I get but then again, some look good without.

those are damn sexy, minus the 10 hole crap. i've looked at those before.
and yes terry, they'll fit fine. the 45 mm offset on an 8 inch wheel gives you 6.3 inches of back spacing. you have 6.5 inches of space up front. and more in the back.

Ok, what if I hit the switch and drop it. Will they tuck under?

Ooooooooo, the way you wrote it made me think it was 8.5.

sure thing. the outside wheel face is only like 3 mm farther out than a stock wheel. that high offset will keep them close to the car.

Well I like that then. I too hate all the damn holes in the center. It's gonna have 5 regardless, they fit two sizes so that's why there are 10 holes. I could have the center caps laser etched with a Lincoln emblem.

those look nice.. i have been looking at those same wheels for a week or more now. Im not a fan of the extra lug holes though :(

I hate the 10 holes. They kinda look like fr500s. Black chrome fr500s would look sick on a white mark. I have really been wanting to hub swap just the rear and run a 20 x 10 to go with the 18 x 9 up front.

why hub swap just the rear? the front is so easy and cheap to do. far easier and cheaper than the rear.

Well I already have the 18 x9 saleens in our pattern. So doing just the rear and buying two rims instead of four just seems like the way to go. Plus I will have to spare front rims.

Be careful with blank chrome. I've heard it comes off easily. The wheels are nice but I don't think you can use chrome polish on them.

the "ideal" offset is like 36 mm. which happens to be the stock offset.

Ok, that helps. Now I know what I can work with. 36 or 38 will work and tuck in if dropped. I just don't want to be messing with fender rolling and I don't feel right about spacers. Maybe they're ok and don't hurt anything. If they balance out right and are safe, what size spacer would be needed? 1/2" or is that too much? I'm also not going staggered, as much as I would like to. Just gonna keep all 4 the same.

Ok, hold on. If this will make things easier, would a 9" wheel be the better way to go in an 18"? If so, all I need is some offset numbers to work with that will not be "sunk in" and look stupid but not stuck out and hitting my fender wells if dropped.
