A gentleman was refinishing all the wheels on the limos where i work and so i asked him how much it would be to refinish my stock 5-spoke wheels, He suggested on painting my stock wheels like a gun metal color and he would wet sand them etc for 75 a wheel....im guessing they would look more like the lse wheels on the gen 1. So what do you guys think? or he said he can paint some accents on the wheels as well.

I painted mine gunmetal, which is quite dark. Almost a charcoal gray. I left the center cap and rim the stock silver. Winter wheels, as noted by the winterforce rears. The fronts do match now.

lol. I have a truck for the winter. However, if I travel anywhere other than into town for groceries/work, I take the LS. Or if roads are good, sometimes I'll take the LS to work.

i say paint them gun metal would like nice on your ride.

Just don't do black. Black wheels look terrible.

I have to 100% repectfully disagree. I love my black rims and the gunmetal as well. Its a personal preference I guess.

We agree to disagree. Reason why I don't like them is cause you cant tell where the wheel and tire meet. Pektel's look fine cause of the rim and there not totally black.

Pektel that looks really good if i do get them painted i might go a little lighter in the painted finish, or i might just leave them the way they are and just get them stripped and clear-coated again.

I can PS them on for you if Pektel doesnt mind if I use his Pic.

Gunmetal is going to be real dark on that color, I suggest having someone photoshop them that color first. Maybe post a high resoluter side view. I'd do it buy I don't have photoshop on this computer and I'm a little rusty with it anyway.

Edit: Villalta can do it, he post right as I did.

i like the dark wheels. See if you can have the wheel weights mounted on the inner side of the wheel so you dont see them. it'll make it look a little cleaner

Of course I don't mind. I think they look good. If you want a high res pic from the side, I can do that too.

black wheels look good depending on the color of your car, my brother bout to paint his rims this weekend with this plasti dip that it looks like alot of people paint their rims with
