Replacing my pump and pressure lines and, of course, I didn’t take any pictures and the manual isn’t very helpful. I can’t remember which pressure line goes where on the rack and pinion - there are two right by the steering column.

One is the long pressure hose that comes from power steering pump and the other goes to the cooler.

Does the long hose from the pump go on the top port of the rack and the hose that goes to the cooler connect to the bottom port?

@Broseph i believe you are correct. I believe fluid flows in the top from the pump and out to the cooler from the bottom. Im not at home now but when i get back home i can go check on my car to be sure. The only thing is i am probly gonna be gone for 3 or 4 hours if you can wait that long if not try searching any OEM Ford parts place and you might can find a hose diagram on one of them. Sorry that'll be the quickest i can help you out. I have a 06 LS.

Thanks. Not in a super huge rush. Won’t be back under the car until this evening. Parts look up hasn’t been helpful

Cool hang in there when me and the wife get back home i will check my car and see how its hooked up for you.

@Broseph here is a couple of pics. I had to jack the car up but i got you a couple of pics. The best i can tell the hose coming from the front went into the bottom and the hose thats in the back went to the top.

Thanks! Nice to see a few of those 600 changes on those fancy Gen IIs included extra power steering line brackets and better rust protection.

You're welcome. Maybe one day mine will be back on the road. Its been setting in the yard wrecked every since i got rear ended Jan 10th 2024. Insurance totaled it but i couldn't bring myself to let the scrapyard have it lol. So i been patiently waiting to find a straight body clean title junker that i can swap all my stuff into. I invested somewhere around $14,000 in a $900 car when i got it. LS's seem to love money more than some women do Haha! Anyway if you need anything else and i can help out just ask.
