Do like.. Didn't realize it was a Montana plate till someone mentioned it. I'm hoping to get my surrounds and chrome painted next week.

Where in Montana are you?

Thanks guys! So far I've done, tune, intake, exhaust, wheels, and the above mods. Still planning on doing stainless steel brake lines, performance pads, HID fog lights, eibachs, and an LSE body kit. Not sure when I will get around to it. blwnbyu, I'm located about 220 miles east of Billings, in Baker. I think your LS will look awesome with the chrome all painted! purevilpleasure the Tbird is a 97, its got a built 4.6, T-45 swap, Cobra brakes, most of the suspension gone through. The tips on the LS are the ones magnaflow sends with their cat back.

That looks sweet! I need to get my Mclaren painted for my 06. You are making me jealous!

Very nice. Your car is super clean.

Why did you debadge everything but 'V8'?

Thanks again fellas, I am actually ordered a new LS badge and I am going to remove the V from the back so it will say "LS8", since I've read that originally Lincoln wanted to call these cars the LS6 and LS8. I thought it would be something a little different from the standard debadging. The TBird has a forged bottom end 4.6 2V, 11.8:1 compression, Trick Flow heads, Trick Flow manifold, custom grind cams, Kooks headers with no cats into a 2 3/4 inch dual exhaust. Running a stock steel flywheel, king cobra clutch, w/ custom hydraulic slave setup, T-45 5-speed out of a 97 Cobra, custom 1 piece aluminum shaft with a T-Lok 3.73 rear. I just installed some Lower engine cradle braces and I have a set of subframe connectors that I still need to install. Planning on doing new carpet, corbeau seats, and new door panels before the winter is over. Its deff not the fastest car around but people are really surprised when they see what an N/A 2V can do if its built right.

Impressive ;)

Very nice. I'd love to find have an '05 factory set in blue. I doubt I'll ever get anything that's going to spend time outside painted as the clearcoat sucked after a few years.

Love the Birds, I had a 96 if I remember correctly, it was just a stock V6.

I had an 86 and 96 Cougar at once too.

The Cougar reminded me of the Bird so I had to have it. It was totaled by a full size Chevy truck.

Now I have the LS which reminds me of the Cougar and I love it.

looks nice how did you get the lincoln logo on red? that's nice o love.....

Contact Manoli. He does custom ones for members. From what I have seen and read. He does great work. Everyone that has purchased emblems from him has been VERY HAPPY.:)

Or do it yourself. I did mine. Removed the emblems with some fishing line. Sanded off the black backing. Painted the back (Autumn Red to match my LS). Let dry. Re-attach with 3M double sidede tape.:)

Looks great. Very classy. You should paint the lower grille black. Till you can do the LSE kit. Just my $.02.

Thanks a lot of the kind words guys! Yeah Manoli's emblems are great, I would highly recommend him. I couldn't be happier with mine. Oh by the way, forgot to add the suspension mods on the list for the Tbird. Just a set of ST Linear rate springs and KYB shocks (no more bilstsen or Koni's made for them), a few poly bushings here and there, and the aforementioned chassis bracing. I still am going to put a little bit larger rear bar on at the very least or upgrade them both. I probably made it sound more like it was set up for the strip in my earlier post, but its really more of a GT car for lack of a better term. At least that's the way I use it lol. I have been thinking about putting eibachs on it for a little bit nicer ride, but I don't know how much I'll lose in the handling department. Still haven't decided yet.

Car looks great!

Needs LSE conversion for sure. How does it compare to the bird? Im sure the bird is a bit faster but the LS could hold its on being such a small motor.

Looks really nice with the McLaren grille like that, I'm also on the "have to get mine painted" page, although I have a little prefix work to do and plan to paint it myself.

Thank guys. Yeah I am also thinking it would look great with the LSE body kit for sure! Stock for stock the LS would be quicker than the Tbird, but it is far from stock. Wouldn't be much of a race between the LS and Thunderbird, but considering how much money I've spent on the engine and drivetrain for the Tbird it really shouldn't be lol. Back when it had the stock engine, with a 4.10 gear, tune, and a full exhaust it felt about as quick as a stock Gen II V8 LS to me.

Ive always wanted to test drive a new thunderbird to see if it handles any better and feels any quicker than the LS.
