The line up shank part or the shanks biting into rim if not lined up? LOL Or the screw them on for an hour deal?

All of the above... LOL.

Especially when replacing studs and/or lug nuts when they gall and pull threads.

so if you were to use a hub lug change adapter whose hub bore was larger than the marks which they are you would use a hub centric ring around the mark 8 hub to the inside of the adapter so that became as one plate the carrying all the load on the adapter being type with the hub on the mark.
