Because they only made a few LSes, for a few years, and it didn't share parts with any other Ford products. If you have a Jaguar dealer nearby, you may be able to get it from them.

If there's any pressure in the system at all it is a biznatch. It's almost like there's some sort of safety mechanism.
Go to the Ford dealer and order parts for the Thunderbird with the same engine. That's how I get my parts. There are lots of grannies down here and they love this thunder chickens.
